Set next to a river in a really quiet area and only 30 mins by bus to the centre of Hiroshima. I stayed in a traditional styled room with tatami floors looking out to the yard and river. Only a few people stayed on the nights I was there so it was lovely and quiet. It’s a very old building but they’ve got everything you could possibly need and the host is super lovely and welcoming. You have your own private room but very wonderful shared living room, kitchen space, bathrooms and toilets and a terrace. The guest house is very much a homestay and feels super comfortable. You can book a room with beds or with futons. It’s not super close to the city center but you do get the feeling of living in a genuine Japanese neighborhood. Staff was super friendly, quick to respond and helpful. I believe that backpackers will be super duper happy here.Guest review byCharlotteYoung couple
