Beautiful old property that had everything we needed. We were very comfortable and well looked after during our stay the night before starting the Kumano Kodo. Easy walking distance to the station and the cakes supplied for breakfast were gladly enjoyed on the trail. Would recommend for those looking for simple, traditional accommodation.

We had the most wonderful time at SOLA Guest House. The room was spacious, clean and very quiet, and the host was delightful. She prepared an amazing vegan dinner and breakfast for us, told us all about the ingredients, many which were new to us. She was attentive and kind and couldn’t have been more gracious. She even drove and hosted us on a delightful outing.

The house was very clean and well managed! We were provided dinner after a long and breakfast the next morning! Very kind and hard working host, and we had a blast during our stay. The futons were clean and comfortable, and the area of Chikatsuyu is beautiful.

The property was very clean, conveniently located, and offered lots of privacy. The owner is very kind and owns a hiking store. He provided a lot lot of information about the Kumano Kody, which I would like to hike one day. Finally he provided a secure location for me to store my touring bicycle.

The owner went out of her way to accommodate us and make us feel at home, even amidst traveling with a larger group size. She is very kind and makes me feel as though I would like to stay again.
