Excellent apartment, very cozy with an excellent AC. The family is very warm and friendly. They drove me to the market and they brought us ice for our legs. We had great conversations. Highly recommend. The owner of the house opened up to me that her husband had recently passed but that it was the husband who put so much love into the place with the renovations and landscaping/plants. His love for the place was obvious and beautiful. The accommodation was perfect and the family incredibly nice. My wife and I will never forget their kindness.

Beautifully renovated gracious home. The room was spacious and the location quiet. It’s an easy walk from here to the center of town, the river and walking trail. Irene, the owner, is friendly and welcoming. She also speaks excellent English for those of us with limited Portuguese. Our stay was wonderful.

We got a very nice room with a small balcony and - bonus - some clothes lines. The lady who runs the place was very nice and helpful. Location couldn't be more central. Don't miss the Alvarinho museum which is on the same street.
