The breakfast was excellent. It was served outside in a lovely garden. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the hosts left milk, water, home made rusks. The location was easy to find and close to the center of Clarens. The hostess, Mercia, was extraordinarily gracious. We thoroughly enjoyed talking with her. Our stay there was the last night in S. Africa and my birthday and Mercia made it memorable!

Mt Horeb Manor has to be my favorite place to stay in South Africa. First of all it is in Clarendon, one of the cutest towns in South Africa. The location gave us spectacular mountain views from our deck. The rooms were beautifully furnished. The owner, Urshula, was very charming, friendly, and helpful. The included breakfast was wonderful. I highly recommend this guest house.

Baris offered tranquility through its beautiful decor and friendly dogs. It is indeed a remarkable and inspiring place to be. The views (sunrise and sunsets) were spectacular and the farm also offers an unparalleled serenity.

Fantastic location, nice warm room and comfortable bed for a cold night. 1 minute walk to the brewery which was convenient and a great experience for a short stay in Clarens. Breakfast at the owner's bakery in the morning was also delicious.

The guesthouse exceeded my expectation. The room was super clean, spacious and I loved the welcome drink, wow! The garden was refreshing I wish I had stayed longer. Definitely returning for my holiday in 2024.
