I felt so comfortable and cozy that I don’t even remember falling asleep after my long day of exploring :) The food was also absolutely delicious, and I was genuinely sad to leave.

They have gassho houses that are equally beautiful and not as crowded as Shirakawago. We felt at home at Guest House Yamashita-ya. Hope we get a chance to stay again!
