Everything was so amazing about this place! First, the host was super sweet, welcoming, and attentive. She sent me messages every morning to check how I slept, letting me know she'd be refilling the fridge with snacks and drinks, and always asking me if I needed anything. She was perfectly balanced in checking in with me while never making it feel overwhelming. Second, the room - oh my goodness - the room was absolutely breathtaking. Such a beautiful, modern hanok aesthetic. I never wanted to leave. The room was spacious, clean, had awesome amenities, and was gorgeous. I actually adjusted my plans so I can spend my last full day in the room to soak it all in. Third, the location was great. A lot of the main stuff you'd want to see in gyeongju is walking distance, there are a bunch of shops, restaurants, and cafes everywhere. It has everything but is also quiet in the evenings.

The house itself had everything you need for a pleasant stay, even if the hanok is very traditional. The owners preserved the beauty of the house well. It is located further from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area, hence you get a good night's rest. The owners were incredibly accomodating, explained what we should see in Gyeongju, recommended a great local place for dinner and even arranged a taxi to come and take us to the train station in the morning. A wonderful experience!

Beautiful house with floor-warming and heated blanket for winter. Very comfortable for winter season. The owner lady is very kind and friendly. Just knock on her door and she’ll welcome you through the place. Self check in is a very nice experience. The whole place feels safe and peaceful.

Such a beautiful place and lovely & kind host. Very personal. The place is beautiful and sparkling clean. The location is spot on. Close to the attractions and market, walking distance if you want to. Far enough from the crowds and traffic. It's so peaceful here. Not far from the homestay, there's a great hanok style cafe facing the tomb. Strongly recommended.

Self check-in was very easy. The space is tidy and quiet; I liked that you can’t hear the other travellers. It’s in a great location and suitable for folks who want to stay away from the downtown area and hotel towers.

We had a wonderful stay at Hanok Desi Bom 101. It was contactless but the host was very helpful and efficient in communicating with us via booking's chat/message site on how to get there: sent photos as well as help with directions (we were given written Korean directions to be shown to the taxi driver). It's about a 20 min taxi ride from Singyeongju Station. There is a bus stop across the street that takes you to the major tourist sites in Gyeongju such as Cheomseongdae Observatory, Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto, and it is walking distance from Daereungwon Tomb complex. This quaint accommodation is also close to restaurants and shops, and the main bus terminal. When I expressed my concern about not having an umbrella with rainy weather forecast, it was provided for us. All in all, our stay was a delight and I would recommend it to anyone!
