The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre, in the middle of the bustling food market area, but in a very quiet side street, a few steps away from the entrance to the must-see Great Mosque of Xi'an. The staff was very friendly and polite and the room pristine and with an extremely comfortable mattress .

The shower is top tier. The room is clean and spacious. We used the free laundry and was perfect! The staff is really kind and they helped us find a good restaurant. We followed their recommendations and we ended up in a really delicious restaurant.

The location really is brilliant - right around the corner from the ancient wall and the Beilin museum (book ahead if you want to visit this museum), the night market and a whole range of cafes, bars and restaurants. The staff were kind and friendly, and helped book us taxis for the terracotta warriors and to get to the station. The view from the rooftop is great.

The staff is very nice. Our train was late at night, she waited for us until very late. She gave us clear instructions on how to get to the room, and good suggestions on exploring around. The location is very good and quiet. The value is is good for family and a group of friends.

Simple Palace is in a great location for a tourist, in a hutong-like neighborhood. Just inside the old city wall, which you can walk, and there is a street market every day that emphasizes artwork and art supplies. Staff is very helpful and made us custom coffee every morning. This is the antidote to a boring high-rise chain hotel. Rooftop patio with interesting views was very nice.
