Beautiful clean cottages in the midst of coffee plantations in a serene and cool environment. The hosts Sheetal n Sachin were so hospitable and friendly. They really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable with homely prepared fresh local food. It was our best stay and a lovely experience surrounded by greenery . Chef Punit was ever so friendly n prepared delicious meals.

Amazing host (like a close friend) picked up us from the bus stand, shown the property, quick check-in formalities, again drop us at market for dinner at 1st night. It's a new property, all new. Guided us on imp tourist places and cheap transportation in Coorg. The best part was provided us homemade breakfast and tea on time, superb! We extended our stay for 2 nights, all good.... Again drop us at bus stand after check-out. Hopefully will visit again with family in winter season 😃

I drove from Bengaluru to Medikeri and booked this property and was thinking how will it be as I had bad experiences with OYO rooms. But this property is very good and the staff/care taker Afridi and the owner are very good. They take care of you very well. The property is well maintained, at a reasonable price and at walkable distance to departmental stores and hotels. The property owner also allows you to use the kitchen incase you want to use it.

The stay was excellent, the rooms were really clean, though we were only 5 people but the beds were huge and probably can fit 7-8 people in the same room. The caretaker was always available for any assistance and they were staying on the ground floor and we, the guests were on the first floor. Geezer is attached in the bathroom so we can have hot water 24/7. The Guesthouse is a bit far from the city and there aren't any restaurants nearby but you can order food via Zomato and they do deliver it to the Homestay. Highly recommended for a stay and also if you want to witness the greenery and lushes and the fog in the morning.

    Monappa was an excellent host, he took very good care of us during our stay and made us feel at home. The property is very maintained and the views from the home stay are just stunning. The bbq and bonfire was arranged for us in the evening. The service was very prompt and the food was prepared by Monappa’s mum who is an excellent with the food preparation as the food was very sumptuous and homely. I would highly recommend FernHills Homestay if you want to spend some nice time with friends or family.
