Beautiful location near highway but well above it. Very welcoming staff. We highly recommend unit on the end with ocean and jungle views. Nice breakfast! Beach not too far away also...

great location overlooking the river and so much beautiful jungle! Well worth the booty building walk up hill! Good bathroom to guest ratio! The volunteers are super nice and very helpful! The food and cocktails were okay…nothing out of this world. Good mosquito nets. Internet really only works up top but it’s okay bc that’s where you spend most of your time anyways! I would def go back. pool is rad!

You can't beat the location if you want to sleep on the beach or need to unplug. It's a small fishing/surfing village, with a touristic twist. The waves are quite intense so swimming may or may not be a good idea depending on the waves. We enjoyed watching the fisherman putting the boats in the water in the morning, the whole community comes to help. Don't expect a 5 star hotel with all the amenities, this isn't it. It's a wonderful little spot on a beautiful beach. The internet works. It's accessible by bus and a half a mile walk (or moto ride). It's also a short bus ride to the entrance of Tayrona Park. We absolutely loved sleeping with the sound of the waves.

The location was great, surroundings were beautiful, you could fall asleep and wake up to the sound of birds chirping. While reading a book I also spotted some monkeys. The staff was superfriendly, all spoke english aswell (a treat you don't see much in Columbia). Food was nice. It was super close to Tayrona entrance. Definately worth to stay longer than just for visiting Tayrona.

We were welcomed with very good service; they immediately showed us to our room, explained the rules. The room had everything we needed and a lovely balcony. Breakfast was good. The best part is its location—you don’t have to walk from the bus like you do with other hotels. We usually don’t use pools, but this one looked clean, and we liked it. Plus, they helped us with directions to other places.

Best hostel I ever stayed so far! You can completely connect with nature, It's an amazing place to meet new interesting people but at the same time Origen Hostel is a place where you can completely disconnect too! I was told I was the first panamanian to stay there, so that makes me proud! Sammy and Will are amazing hosts they make you feel at home. I will go back with friends since I went on a solo trip. If you like nature and adventure this is a must try Hostel! Plus the pool is amazing and so close to the entrance of Tayrona Park! Can't wait to go back!

    Excellent backpacker hostel right next to the main (El Zaino) entrance to the Tayrona national park. A great basis to meet people and explore the area. The pool and bar (with happy hour and great views) are awesome, and so are the activities organised by the hostel, which are a great way to meet new people. Excellent hostel for solo travellers.

    Beautiful hostel. The infinity pool is the perfect place to relax, with great views over Tyrona National Park. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast is filling! Huge dining area. They have a family dinner each night which is a great way to meet others. Staff are very very accommodating and friendly. Daniel immediately made me feel welcome and cheerful:) there is a community amongst the workers/ volunteers, mean the vibes are always high:) Good location- can walk to entrance of Tyrona park (20 minutes away).

    Best hostel I stayed at in Colombia! Amazing pool and view, really good cocktails and happy hour. Stayed in both the 8 bed dorm outside and large dorm with air con and both were good. Good vibes and group dinners are a nice touch. Very close to Tayrona national park entrance

    Everything! Great location close to Tayrona park. We walked it in 15 minutes. Tours offered by hostel went well. Food was both brilliantly priced and tasted fantastic. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Staff all lovely. Pools view of the sunset was incredible.

    Great communal area for meeting people. I also liked the shared meals as another way to meet travellers. the beds were comfortable and the hostel was very clean. the bar served good food me delicious espresso martinis!
