Anne-Marie was a friendly, helpful, welcoming host with lots of information about Calanques National Park and all the beaches in the area. She is a native French speaker but can communicate in English. I couldn’t ask for more from a hostel! The outdoor area is absolutely beautiful and charming, with lots of plants, and places to hang wet clothes. The location is a five minute walk from the center, and the port, and there are restaurants even closer. There is a stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, two communal bathrooms and showers. The property is very quaint but there is lots of space, with only six people per room (there are two rooms total) However, other amenities aren’t plentiful. -no laundry machines, but there is a laundromat right down the street with washers and dryers for roughly €10 - very minimal free breakfast -like many hostels in Europe, you pay a few euros for city tax in cash at the end of your stay -not a party hostel at all but everyone was friendly and had great vibes (which I prefer)

it was like staying in a home. Everyone spoke french which forced me, finally, to use my french and become more comfortable doing that. I could always find someone with english if I needed it. They had a great kitchen and nearby markets so I had fun cooking for myself. There was also a great walk going south right from the the hostel that I did one day

Wow, this was the coolest hostel I have ever stayed at. First the location is very close to the centre, everything is in a comfortable walking distance. There is a pool, a nice terrace with hammocks. The house is more like a home and I stayed in the other house behind the main house which was nice and private, I felt very safe there with doors and windows open. There is not too many people staying there, no bunk bed in my room, just regular beds with bedside tables, a living room and full kitchen with enough fridge space for everyone. I highly recommend this place!

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

I felt safe as a female solo traveler in a mixed dormitory. The beds are great and one really has privacy. The facilities are clean and the staff is very friendly too. The hostel makes it easy to meet other people by hosting events and it has a huge area for socialising. The location is also great. Definitely worth the money.
