I loved it! As the name says it, you feel like at home. The staff was super helpful and friendly, everything was clean, they was a complete kitchen with all you can need, the beds were so comfortable and the game/movie nights were the best.

The owner was really helpful and let me check out later🙏 she also organized a taxi pick up for me to get to the bus station. It didn’t work out so she did the best to get me a taxi on the spot, which im very grateful for.

Skopje Downtown Hostel is excellent in all respects. It is centrally located and within easy walking distance to the historic City Center, which includes great shopping, lots of restaurants, a fabulous wine shop, and Old Town. The facility is spotless. The common area and kitchen area are on the lower level. There is a vending machine with snacks and free coffee/tea available 24/7. I stayed in a 6-bunk female dorm room. It was spacious and equipped with larger lockers than many hostels I have experienced. The host is engaging and charming, welcoming guests to what was his family home when he was growing up. He responds instantly to questions! The facility is artistically decorated, all around a comfortable and welcoming place to spend your time in Skopje.

We stop by at this gem that we booked for rest on our way to Ohrid and wished we could have stayed couple of days more. The host made us feel like home,we had homemade delicious Macedonian dinner and breakfast and the dormitory itself was super comfy and clean.Loved the environment,the whole place smells so lemony and refreshing.Kiitos Damjan and see you definitely again!
