this is one of the cleanest hostels that I have stayed at. you can tell they take pride in caring for the property. The location is great with lots of food and history all around the hostel. the owners are very kind. I actually going back to Malacca for a few weeks in January and will be staying here again.

Everything was great—the place, the cats, the staff, the location, etc. However, a note for the ladies: the wash area is on the 3rd floor, but some of us, including myself, have been using the male bathroom on the 2nd floor. A staff member even saw me using it but didn't say anything. A few of the travelers I met mentioned that the staff and male guests don't mind at all, so it's not really an issue. Still, it was a bit embarrassing for me. 🫢
