This hostel is located on Berunes farm by the Ring Road and is 45 km from the village of Djúpivogur. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and lounges. Free WiFi is available. We were on the Iceland ring road trip. This was the best hotel experience I had on my trip. You could feel the human attitude and care in everything. and everything was just very pleasant. We didn't see much of the surroundings because there was a lot of fog and our stay was relatively short, but we experienced a magical atmosphere. Breakfast made from local products and warm, home-baked bread. This is a family business and you can really feel the family in this place.

Húsey Hostel & Horsefarm features accommodation 55 km from Egilsstadir. The hostel has family rooms. At the hostel the rooms include a shared bathroom with a shower. This is a place I will remember for the rest of my life. I came back home and cannot stop thinking about it. I’ve already recommended it to many of my friends and am honestly dreaming of going there again for a longer stay. The place is truly special — the location, the proximity to nature, the respect and care for the environment, and the memorial and history of the owners and the site. The hospitality and communication were wonderful; I felt truly welcomed and cared for. If you want to experience the REAL Iceland and spend time far away from crowded tourist spots, in a peaceful and unique house from the 1930s, surrounded by animals and mesmerizing landscapes, this is the place for you. You should keep in mind that there is a gravel road in good condition leading to the location, 20 km long, and you’ll be greeted by horses and even a reindeer! You’ll need to bring everything you need with you, as there are no shops nearby. But this is exactly what makes the place so spectacular. All this information is clearly stated when you read about the place, so there were no surprises for us. I truly hope to visit again someday.

Located in Seydisfjördur village, this hostel offers a rooms with a seating area, fjord views and free Wi-Fi. Seydisfjördur Swimming Pool is just 30 metres away. Parking is free at the hotel. Fantastic hostel in a gorgeous little town. Central location, all the shops are within walking distance. The hostel was clean and the beds were comfy. The kitchen/dining room area is really lovely, such a nice spot to sit and hang out and look out the window at the town. Kitchen was well equipped and spacious enough for multiple guests to cook at the same time. Sauna on the bottom floor is also nice. Staff were friendly.

Located in Djúpivogur village, this hostel offers rooms with free WiFi. The rooms are located in a separate house, while there is a shared kitchen in the main building. Very clean and maintained, lovely and helpful staff.
