Matatagpuan ang Hilo Hostel sa Nara, sa loob ng wala pang 1 km ng Nara Station at 18 km ng Iwafune Shrine. The owners are extremely attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is welcoming and quiet. I slept on the last floor, so for guests carrying a big luggage, I recommend to bring a duffel bag or similar to bring your belongings upstairs. Although the owners did not hesitate for a second to bring my luggage, it was good sense to leave it on the ground floor and bringing only the items to be used (toiletry, pajamas, etc). The shared room has enough space to circulate. If you prefer to sleep in the dark, I recommend you bring the sleeping mask, as the lights remain on until the last guest sleeps. The shower is good , and you will have a nice hot water. The location is very close to the train station and to the Sanjo Dori street.

Binuksan noong Abril 2013 nang may bagung-bagong facilities, limang minutong lakad lang ang Hostel Kyoto mula sa JR Kyoto Station. Everything was perfect: location (very close to central station), amazing hostel style, very comfortable beds, everything was super clean, super nice and friendly staff. Great common area with coffee and tea. Very comfortable shower room (with Dyson air dryers)

Nagtatampok ng terrace, ang 城崎温泉 HOSTEL Waraku ay matatagpuan sa Kinosaki sa rehiyon ng Hyogo, 2.4 km mula sa Kinumaki Shrine at 3.9 km mula sa Seto Shrine. It’s really clean and very accessible.

Matatagpuan sa Wakayama at maaabot ang Takanoji Temple sa loob ng 2 minutong lakad, ang Charlie's Bed ay nag-aalok ng mga concierge service, mga non-smoking na kuwarto, shared lounge, libreng WiFi sa... Staff was extreamly helpful. Got recommendation for a great sashimi bar/restaurant that ended up being one of my two favourite restaurants on my trip. The guesthouse was really clean and good space to store a bike inside.

The host was really friendly and the room was perfectly comfortable. No complaints and would definitely book again.

Nagtatampok ang Hostel Caranashi ng mga kuwarto sa Osaka na malapit sa Miyuki-no-Mori Tenjin-gu Shrine at Ansenji Temple. Everything! The room is spacious, to my surprise and they also have a full-length mirror. Lounge is very cozy and stuffed with good selection of tea and snacks. Ken is very friendly!

Matatagpuan sa Nagaoka, 15 km mula sa Hikone Castle, ang Guesthouse Izame Ann ay naglalaan ng accommodation na may mga libreng bisikleta, libreng private parking, shared lounge, at bar. Well worth the effort to travel to experience a lovely ryokan, it's host and the town. I paid for dinner and I'm SO glad I did. It was a highlight of my stay and in deed a highlight of my 5 week trip in Japan. You sit in a sunken seating area and watch the ryokan owner/cook prepare what felt like a large number of individual dishes. The food was absolutely delicious. I was concerned about hearing other guests because, being an older house, the walls are thin - but the night I was there all the guests were respectfully quiet. I had a view over the "river" which may be a mis-nomer - but it is a peaceful stream running through the pretty street. I highly recommend a visit.
