First of all Michi the host is an amazing person and super helpful! He offered to pick us up from Kawaguchiko station when we arrived (and gave us a lift when we left as well). He adjusts his recommendations according to each guest's interests and he gave us loads of useful information. The place itself is really clean and comfortable with everything one can expect - great kitchen, showers and toilets, a laundry machine and dryer. Additionally, there is a really nice common area to eat, chat, read or just sit down and rest with the amazing views of mount Fuji. We also loved the backyard. The neighborhood is a bit more quiet and and less touristic which was a bonus, and it is a few minutes walk to the lake and the promenade. Sleeping in the traditional Japanese style was also a nice experience! We will definitely come back!

Staff was very kind and helpful. We arrived late and he prepared the bath for us. We didn't need to go to Ryokan to enjoy a Japanese inn and onsen. The place was clean and beautiful Japanese style house with tatami. The hostel was right next to the train station, that is a huge bonus for us when we overslept and almost kissed the train. We definitely will come again in the future.

The first night I stayed in a bunk and the 2nd night was a private room. I slept very well both nights and the hostel has a very home-y feeling to it. The location is also excellent being <10minute walk from Gekkouji station. Owner recommended me to visit Arakurayama park to get a view of Mt fuji and it was worth it. I went at sunrise with other travelers. It is about 15 minute walk to the location.
