The Boutique Taghostel is located in a charming old building on the main avenue of Lagos directly in front of the marina with stunning sea views. Free WiFi is available.

Set on a privileged location, the Boutique Taghostel is within walking from traditional local restaurants, bars, supermarkets and beaches. Breakfast is not included in the rate. Towels and linen are provided. The effort and pride the owner and volunteers put into this place really shows. I loved the way they make little gatherings for all the guests, it really makes a difference to the experience of travelling - especially for those of us travelling solo.

Featuring a garden, shared lounge, bar and free WiFi, Aldeia Caiçara Surf House is set in Sagres, 1.4 km from Tonel Beach and 16 km from Santo António Golf Course. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Fortress of Sagres is 2.1 km from the hostel and Beliche Fortress is 4.5 km away. The atmosphere was incredibly positive and relaxed. I had a surf lesson that I thoroughly enjoyed—the beaches and waves in Sagres are just perfect. The hosts and fellow guests were super friendly, and we all had a great time sharing barbecues, music, and relaxing together in the garden. Such a memorable and fun experience!

I loved the hostel. It was exceptionally clean. Very comfortable. Well appointed. It has a lovely kitchen and dining room. Also a relaxing outdoor terrace. The owner ,Rui , was a most helpful host. He even provided back medication for a pulled muscle. He also took the time and trouble to ease a potential problem at the airport. Our sincere thanks to Rui. My friend and I had a very enjoyable stay. We will be back to Hostel A Casa da Arvore.

Booked the double room and had privacy and quiet when I needed it. But it was great to interact with others from all over the world

Located in the historical centre of Lagos, a 10-minute walk from the Batata Beach, Olive Hostel Lagos offers accommodation in dormitories as well as private rooms. There is a colourful patio and an on-site bar which offers a welcoming ambience. Free WiFi is available. This was my 5th visit to Lagos & my 2nd stay in Olive Hostel Lagos. The difference between Olive Hostel Lagos & other hostels/hotels/airbnbs is that it actually feels like a home. I came with a very modest itinerary of watching the sunrise every day, going for a morning swim, taking rooftop morning naps, spending the day at the beach & regenerating in the hostel in the evening... recharging in a beautiful place. In Olive Hostel I was able to combine the "vacation" feeling of being away with the comfort of staying at home. Social: the atmosphere of Olive Hostel is lovely & you can usually find someone else on the same wavelength as you; otherwise it is also possible to just keep to oneself if the social batteries need charging. While the hostel has relaxing, harmonious vibes there are plenty of party options a few minutes walk away, should one be in the mood for festivities. Technical : unlike most hostels, there are actually enough bathrooms/showers for everyone; the kitchen has enough storage for groceries and has plenty functional utensils, dishes etc. In fact, this is the only place I ever think to cook. The outdoor patio, the balcony, the rooftop, the living room/reading room all offer plenty of space to relax and chill on slower days, evenings, or during bad weather. Cleanliness: as a clean freak who usually considers everything to be dirty, I can testify that the Olive Hostel ist super clean. I truly appreciate the efforts made in this regard, considering the number of beach/backpacker shoes this place must see. Olive Hostel also offers a laundry service, but if you like doing your own laundry there are 2 laundromats within 1km. Staff & organisation: I found booking/check-in/check-out to be uncomplicated & felt that staff were always motivated to find solutions for individual needs. Everyone is very kind and helpful & wants you to be comfortable.
