I was shock to find a sofa inside the room which makes me so happy as I work at night. Noise is bearable considering that this is in the center. Staffs are exceptionally kind and helpful specially the guys at reception.

Rooms are cleaned almost every day along with bathrooms. Personal rooms are very private. Hostel rooms you all receive a locker and have a privacy curtain. The common area was a nice way to socialize and meet new people. If you ever need to rent a scooter there are available, affordable ones you can rent at a daily rate. I was there Sep-Dec. Low season is quiet as you won't get a lot of people. It starts picking up around Nov as high season is starting.

The most friendly welcoming host family, cosy comfortable rooms with everything you need including a full size fridge, microwave, bowls, cutlery etc. We left some unfinished noodles in a bowl while we went out and the generous host even cleaned it up for us! Location is great, on a more quiet street with plenty of bars and food nearby, plus a short walk to bang tao beach or few mins in a tuk tuk over to Surin beach.
