Sussex Shores, hotel in Sussex Inlet

Settled in the delightful seaside township of Sussex Inlet in the Shoalhaven and just 3 minutes’ walk from the Sussex Inlet town center, Sussex Shores offers modern and family-friendly accommodations....

The room we had was perfect, I like the idea of the bedroom being separate from the rest of the room, location was spot on, close to everything and barely used the car. Staff at the club and cleaners were friendly

Sussex Inlet is a friendly place with good facilities.

Sussex Inlet is a friendly place with good facilities. As it's a destination without through traffic, it's easy to get around without hassles. The streetscape, parkland reserves and playgrounds are obviously cared for and clean. We really like the modern RSL and its in-house Bamboo Restaurant due to friendly staff and tasty, reasonably priced meals.

Sussex is a lovely quiet place with rivers, beaches and lakes. A very nice walking path that runs from Chris Creek bridge to Badgee bridge. There are 2 clubs and a pub to eat at also several cafes. There is a supermarket, cinema and other shops but if you’re after the big name stores go somewhere else.

This was a little secret in plain view.

This was a little secret in plain view. For us, a wonderful and calming experience, with nature in plain view that you don't get in the chaos of our cities. Lots of wildlife, that inexplainable calming of a water view (especially when you live inland). Easy walking paths along the waterfront, and clearly a popular spot for those who are already in the know. I would recommend to just go and see for yourself. Close enough to Jervis Bay, St Georges Bay etc for all the activities you may want to indulge in

Good middle ground to explore the surrounding beach.

Good middle ground to explore the surrounding beach. Took us 45 mins to travel to Cave Beach and 45 mins to Ulladulla on the opposite directions. And the closest beach is only 7 mins drive (Cudmirra beach) Road within the town could have been better as there were lots of pot holes. One supermarket which I visited daily with plenty of cafes around. Good place for the family, I took 5 teens (12 - 17) and was comfortable to let them go to the shops on their own.

The room was adequate warm & comfy. Bed was comfy.

The room was adequate warm & comfy. Bed was comfy. A/C worked well. Fridge nice & cold. Many towel’s, but no spare loo paper. Front glass windows were a bit grotty. Motel should supply Salt shaker. The Balcony was lovely with a cool breeze blowing at night perfect for holiday chatting & relaxing. I would stay there again. We walked to the jetty to do some fishing. 😀😁👍🏻 You need to bring food if you are staying over on Christmas…. Nothing at all was open. Batesys takeaway & seafood was amazing with fresh oysters & prawns 🦐 Sussex boat hire was very friendly. Pub next door 👍🏻

Angela looked after us very well at Sussex shores, excellent communication prior to arrival and then greeting and recommendations for dinner etc. The apartment was clean, spacious, modern and comfortable. Secure off street parking. Excellent places for walking, dinner and chilling. Check out Dane at sea kayaking at Jervis Bay for an awesome mornings paddle with breakfast on secluded beach.

Great location and river views. Easy walk to shops. Lovely walkway in front. Original cottages that are nicely renovated, whilst maintaining their character. Well done to owners. Comfortable with adequate household items. Great parking next to cottage. Plenty of garden space. Jetty for fishing was great. Pet friendly Clean and tidy. Three bedrooms with enough holiday space. Nice balcony and garden area. We were lucky that the people in the adjoining cottage were quiet. Would certainly book again. We had a great few days. Thank you

The location is fantastic, right along the foreshore of the Sussex Inlet estuary, perfect for a walk. The room was clean and tidy, in-room heater worked well. Coffee + tea + milk provided. Kitchenette facilities were clean and came with crockery and cutlery for cereal breakfast in the morning (fridge + kettle). RSL bistro directly across the street was good value for money and had generous portions. Parking was available during the stay, but the 4-car carpark could quickly get crowded during a busy period.

Very clean and spacious accommodation. Fully renovated units with well equipped kitchens and lovely toiletries included. Property is next to Sussex inlet with direct access to the inlet and Cudimurrah Beach is a lovely walk around the inlet in the afternoon. Excellent spot for fishing and swimming but you must be careful when swimming as the current is very strong at all times of the day. Coin operated laundry facilities provided too which is a bonus. Internet access was never a problem if you need it.

The location was central to everything at Sussex Inlet. We were able to walk to the RSL Club for Dinner along the water via a path and in the evening enjoyed seeing many Kangaroos and water life along the way. Andrew was super friendly and helpful and the indoor pool facility was excellent! The water was crystal clear and the temperature was divine. Next time we may even venture to play some tennis or go for a Kayak.

Size-wise the cabin we stayed in is great (2 adults 2 kids). Location is amazing (just in front of Sussex Inlet). Owner/Staff are very accommodating and nice! He showed us the cabin and made sure that we got everything we need. We used the bbq grill and common area to have dinner. The kids loved the swing and trampoline. The newly renovated cabin is impressive.

Location is great. It’s on the river and walking path, very close to shops and other facilities. It was nice and clean, bed is super comfortable and having reverse cycle was a bonus in the winter. I’d definitely stay there again and recommend Sussex House to anyone that asked where to stay in Sussex Inlet

The cabin we had had a full size kitchen, 2 bathrooms and view of the lagoon. There were kangaroos in the yard at night. The cabin would suit 2 couples. It’s a short drive to the village of Sussex Inlet and the local RSL has courtesy bus that will pick up and drop you off, you need to book this.
