Built-in 1889 and nestled in the picturesque Eden Valley (Barossa), the Grand Cru Homestead has been renovated to the highest standard, while retaining the history and appeal of a grand Australian homestead. Surrounded by vineyards, red gums and the extensive picturesque gardens, you'll be able to relax and enjoy the tranquility, whether that's reading a book on the veranda, curling up in front of the fire or grabbing a bottle of wine (from our Cellar Door) to explore the 300 acres of rolling hills and vineyards. With an on-site cellar door, experience wine tasting with the local winemakers and a wood fire pizza from The Grand Cru Wood Fire Pizza Restaurant or explore the many restaurants and cellar doors a short drive away. Wood fires for the chilly winter nights, and fully air-conditioned, the homestead provides exceptional comfort, no matter the weather.
Grand Cru is a working winery, and along with a cellar door for wine tasting, the restaurant prides itself on making the best pizzas in the district! Peter, our resident winemaker and pizza chef, loves to share a glass of wine and share his experience growing up in the Barossa and the history of the estate. Along with Gidget and Ruby the resident Golden Retrievers, they'll ensure that your stay at Grand Cru Estate is memorable.
Located in Eden Valley (Barossa) and only a 30 minute drive to the heart of the Barossa Valley, the Adelaide Hills or the River Murray. Grand Cru Estate is a great place to base yourself, while you explore the region an easy drive away. On our door step are the local farmers' markets held every Saturday in Mt Pleasant and the Barossa Valley. If you don't want to travel, we have our own cellar door and restaurant available for wine tasting and casual dining on the weekends.
