This boutique little hotel is so cute, the location right beside the crooked bridge is awesome, the staff treated us so well and the food both breakfast and dinner was really, really good.

Location was great as it was quiet, but old town was still within walking distance. The free parking was easy. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious (though you had to ask if you wanted things like yogurt or fruit so we didn't get any of that as we didn't know). It was fairly clean and the beds were comfortable.

It's absolutely beautiful! The Old Bridge (which was rebuilt after the war) is a favourite tourist attraction so the area was quite busy. There are loads of restaurants, gift shops and bars. Try Craft Beer Garden for local ales with a terrace next to the river. Our favourite restaurant was called Malo Misto - superb food, lovely atmosphere, great prices, just outside the central area.
Be aware that there are no shops open on Sundays, and hardly any taxis. We drove our rental car into the centre on Sunday and found free parking and plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Mostar is very pretty, famously so.
Mostar is very pretty, famously so. The Old Town is small, and the new town has nothing to offer tourists, so do stay in the Old Town as close to the Bridge as possible. During the day there are hordes of day trippers, but at night it is much quieter and very lovely, so staying the night is essential; I stayed two nights which was just fine. It is very picturesque but that is it - there are no headline museums etc. Lots of touristy places to eat, all much of a muchness. As with the rest of BiH, very reasonably priced. Great ice cream! If you are interested in the civil war, there are many signs in the new town and on the edge of the old town of the conflict. In addition, the old bridge is of course a reconstruction as is most of the old town.

Super cozy town to wander through.
Super cozy town to wander through. Nice little shops with handmade products, many restaurants and café with cheap food and drink.
Just avoid the cafee under the bridge called Eko co. Worst service and bad coffee - not autenthic Bosnian. Super expensive.

Mostar is a captivating city that embodies a unique blend of historical gravitas and scenic charm, making it a must-visit destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nestled along the picturesque Neretva River, the city is famed for its iconic Stari Most (Old Bridge), a stunning example of Islamic architecture in the Balkans and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This historic bridge, beautifully reconstructed after the war, provides a symbolic connection between the city's diverse cultural and religious communities.
Visitors can explore the cobbled streets of the Old Bazaar, where traditional craft shops and quaint cafes offer a taste of local life and hospitality. The Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque is another highlight, offering panoramic views of the city from its minaret. Also FORTICA is the best place to see Mostar from the hill, highly recommend take taxi 1km per Kilometre… ask driver for pick up later or walk down.
Mostar also serves as a gateway to explore the region's natural beauty. Nearby attractions include the emerald waters of the Kravica Waterfall and the serene Blagaj Tekija, a Dervish monastery nestled against a cliff beside the Buna River, which is perfect for a peaceful afternoon outing and Pocitelj ahistorical place!
With its rich history, stunning architecture, and warm, welcoming atmosphere, Mostar is truly a jewel worth exploring. Each corner of the city offers new delights and a chance to step back in time while enjoying the vibrant local culture.
Best place to eat and value for money:
- Cernica chevabdzinca, (a hidden gem) mix grill platter 40km in Cernica street, also Rodjeni Pie shop.
- Best Pizza (cappricioza my fav) in Nidze Veze in Boulevar opposite the Catholic church.
- Asdzinica Saraj by the Karadzozbeg Mosque, best to eat early between 10-12am, best traditional food reasonable prices
Malta - outside Mostar on the way to Blagaj fabulous food reasonable priced

Even in spring, the famous bridge attracts an awful lot of tourists in the day and early evening, so do bear this in mind and be patient. However it is definitely worth seeing (best from the river) and if the weather is good do wait for the locals jumping off the bridge - this takes place about every 30-minutes. If you're on the bridge the divers may ask if can make a contribution. don't overlook the rest of the town and you can still see traces of the civil war if you walk further out. Sadly, someone removed the Bruce Lee statue, only the pedestal remains. Highly recommend train journey between Mostar and Sarajevo.
For the price, this hotel is everything we could have hoped for. Beautifully modern, well laid out rooms with Smart TV, fridge, kettle etc. We stayed as a family of 4 and would certainly return if we were ever to visit Mostar again. The bar is VERY reasonable (2 bottles of beer, 1 red bull, 5 soft drinks = £11.40!!) and the food looked good too.
Special thanks to the bar staff and reception staff who were extremely helpful. They even called a taxi for us to get us into the old town when we needed it. Don't hesitate to stay here.
The apartment is classy and very clean😍. Without compliment it is 5 star apartment and even better than many high star hotel’s. We went to Mostar for honeymoon and it was so kind and generosity from Arman ( the owner ) to put for us a flower bouquet chocolate. The apartment is fully equipped and the selection of furniture, arrangement of it and accessories are really wonderful😍.
The location is nearby the shopping malls and 1.5 km only from the old bridge.
Also, a private car park is available for free.
Villa Botticelli was one of the highlights of our trip to Bosnia. It’s in a great location in Mostar — just a short walk to the busy main strip, but it feels so peaceful oasis. We loved sitting on the terrace when we weren’t exploring the town. The innkeeper was great, too. She was very friendly and helpful and gave us some good tips on restaurants and things to see in town. And she let us try her homemade rakjia, too!
Villa Floris is a modern, very clean hotel with a pretty garden and a roof terrace. The location is excellent as Mostar Old Town is within easy walking distance and there is a small supermarket very close by for drinks and snacks. The owners were both very friendly and helpful during our stay. I have no hesitation in recommending Villa Floris as an excellent choice for accommodation whilst staying in Mostar.
Absolutely everything. It is definitely my favorite apartment I had in Bosnia, you have everything you need. A well-equipped kitchen, same thing for the bathroom and the living room. Not to mention the balcony witch gives a beautiful view on the river..
Anes, the host, was very helpful and he is a nice person !
I highly recommend anyone going to Mostar to stop by this apartment ! 😁
It's easier to say what you didn't like because everything was in its place. The breakfast with Bosnian coffee and the performance with the many plates of food were especially great. The hotel has a great location. Next to the entrance to the old town (easy to park your car), but at the same time already in the old town itself. Wonderful staff.
The hotel is very clean and well located next to old town. The bed was the most comfortable we've had in our entire Croatia/Bosnia trip. But the highlight was the staff! Caring, helpful, and exceedingly nice. Leyla particularly was amazing🤩! We are bringing back many memories of Bosnia and Herzogovina hospitality
Stay in Bosnian Home was perfect. The owner is very friendly, helped us with everything and recommended an excellent restaurant. Room was very nice and clean with view on the river. Old city and old bridge is very close, only few minutes walk. If we visit Mostar again, we will definitely stay here
This was a well-located hotel just a short walk away from the Old Bridge in Mostar and right in the middle of a neat area of shops and restaurants. A perfectly adequate hotel with an attentive staff and a marvelous 32 course (approximately) breakfast experience complete with Turkish-style coffee.
My husband and I travel often, and the hotel staff was some of the most attentive and helpful we have ever experienced worldwide. The hotel also a protective, historical inn and worth staying for that reason alone. It’s also at the end of the market and steps from Mostar’s famous bridge.
Great boutique hotel, authentic features and fixtures, lovely garden, very comfortable beds, staff friendly and helpful, welcome drink on arrival, tour of the museum after breakfast, great location, away from the noise but only a couple mins walk to old town Mostar and the bridge
Big rooms and amazing staff, also nice to have the warm spa area on a rainy day! They are so friendly and so everything to cater to your needs. We could check in early no problem. I can’t recommend them enough. If we are ever in Mostar again we will stay again in hotel Mepas.
Very comfortable boutique hotel a very short walk from the centre of Mostar old town. The rooms are very inviting and a very good breakfast is provided. There is also a rooftop terrace with 360 degree views of Mostar.
The hosts are very friendly and accommodating.
Miran ist a very nice host! He is very knowledgeable and wants his guests to feel at home. He does great tours too - the war tour is great to know more about the bosnian war from the perspective of a mostar local. can only recommend staying with him!
Location in Mostar was fantastic. Easy to find and in town centre. Hotel had parking.
Host was really welcoming and had great local knowledge.
Couldn't ask any more for our short stay.
Perfect location to take in the old town.
Beautiful hotel on the river in Mostar, amazing location in the old town, the nicest staff who are very accommodating to requests, one of the best hotels I've ever been to in the world! Even the food was excellent!
I love Nina and her family!! They are the sweetest family and really welcomed me to Mostar. My whole experience was wholesome and incredible. I can’t wait for my next trip to Bosnia, I will be staying here again!
we ate at the hotel for dinner - exceptional
breakfast hearty
location - couldnt be better
hotel also supported us to find a guide for 2 hrs to tell us about the Bosnian war whilst touring Mostar
Clean, quiet and modern little hotel with very friendly and helpful owners. Breakfast was also very nice. Location was perfect, with the Mostar bridge maybe a 5 minute walk.
