Our essence was born in 1956 with a small grocery store and a friendly 2-room guest house. Essence that we try to show affection in the creative recycled decoration of the hotel.

Beautiful property, large clean rooms, housekeeping and desk staff were friendly. Breakfast was amazing with lots of fruits and pancakes and eggs and coffee. Had laundry service at reasonable price. Excellent value.

The location was within easy walking distance to the centro area of Tupiza. We liked the secured parking. Sylvia was a wonderful host and made extra efforts to help ensure our stay was a success. Her suggestions for day trips were helpful. The included breakfast was very good.

Good value for the money: quiet, clean room and shared bathroom with decent breakfast. The Location is centralized, and the staff is friendly. Recommend.

It is spacious airy and reasonably quiet.
Tour operator just around the corner also market and town center.
Tupiza was fairly small city. I stayed there instead of nastier/bigger uiuni in preparation for salt flat tour. Instead of preparing a with a for agency. I rolled into the first 6am collectivo to Uiuni, walked into an agency and an hour later I was in a group in a 4by4 headed out to salt flats. Maybe extra blessed( ? )but it all worked out. The agency :Playa Blanca (30$US) provided an excellent driver. We hit all the usual stops. We were NOT rushed and got to see the sun set all the way over the absolutely amazing salt flats.
Tupiza is not a tourist town. Saw very few travelers . Horseback riding available
(I didn't) Hot Bolivian girls. Good street food. Train was running: N to Uiuni or S to Argentina border, but at night so no sightseeing.
Very clean, spacious room. Amazing breakfast. Very secure, free parking for our motorcycles in a lot very close to the hotel. Hostess, Silvia, was so concerned about our comfort and needs - she is amazing. She works very hard to make sure her guests are satisfied, and her care and hospitality combined with the facilities and the breakfast, taking the location into account, all add up to my giving this the highest rating I have ever given any hotel, and I have travelled all over the world and stayed in hundreds of hotels.
Well located hotel with very friendly and helpful owners. Great breakfast with freshly prepared fruit salad and juice, good coffee and eggs.
Spacious room with hot water.
The hotel computer system was hacked and we got an email in which we were asked to specify our bank details by clicking on a link. The owners of the hotel immediately set correctly that this email was a fake and that we don't have to specify any bank details.
You never have to pay in advance, you always pay in cash in the hotel!
The apartment is in a really quite area and a typical Barrio of Tupiza. Is not in the center of the city, but you can walk in 20 minutes to it. Close to the house you have a lot of options to buy some groceries, food and on some days there is a market. The bed was really comfy and the apartment offers a lot of space. It was clean and I really liked the patio and the terrace. There you have a really nice view on the Cerro de la Cruz!
My room was not available the day I came and the receptionist rent me another room in a hostel next to Hotel la Torre. I liked this initiative! Moreover, the horse tour was not available during my stay and the staff helped me to visit the village of Suipacha where I had the chance to see a Military commemoration of the town of Suipacha.
The staff also prepared the tour to Uyuni which was also great.
This is the place to stay at in Tupiza.
The location is great, everything is clean, the rooms are nice, the breakfast is excellent. And most importantly, the family owning & running the place is the nicest you'll ever meet.
They offer tours. I did go horse riding & their horses are in good health & sweet rides in this wonderful canyon area
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the in-house travel agency gave great tips for what to do in Tupiza, as well as facilitating trips to amazing places within its surroundings. Great breakfast, clean rooms and a great space to just catch a breath and stay for a few days. The garden and pool area are well-maintained and very nice.
Stayed 2 nights, nice property since options are limited in Tupiza, Tupiza Tour is located next door, nice breakfast, nice swimming pool, we arrived with a night bus and it was only 5 minutes from the bus station and there was still someone at the reception at 5 in the morning so we could "late" check-in,
The perfect place to relax! Great rooms, very clean bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. It's very well located in Tupiza, close to the food market, the center, and many stores. Lots of space to hang your laundry in the yard. Of course, the pool is amazing during hot summer days.
The location was within easy walking distance to the centro area of Tupiza. We liked the secured parking. Sylvia was a wonderful host and made extra efforts to help ensure our stay was a success. Her suggestions for day trips were helpful. The included breakfast was very good.
Lovely hosts, sparkling clean, huge rooms, great showers with lots of hot water, great Wi-Fi, comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast. Also great laundry service. Just a short walk across the bridge to the centre. Definitely the place to stay in Tupiza!
Very friendly hosts in a clean and comfortable hotel. Buffet breakfast, hot shower, and comfortable beds. Just be aware that the location is across the bridge. For me it's an easy and safe walk... even good lighting if returning after dark.
really great place (maybe the only place!) to stay in Tupiza. super super friendly staff. amazing pool area to relax around. comfiest beds in the whole of Bolivia. such great value. breakfast is good by Bolivian standards also!
Comfy beds, good amenities, and good breakfast. Good hot showers. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Pet friendly hotel. It’s a great place to stay before and after four day tours.
Great Hostal in Tupiza. Walking distance to bus station and "centre".
Really friendly hosts, serving a nice breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice. Good shared kitchen, social.
I arrived early in the morning and they let me check-in in advance and even upgraded me in a single room (booked a dorm). The hotel is really nice and clean and well located
Lovely hotel corridors & stairways. Convenient location. Good breakfast (fresh orange juice, coffee/tea, bread rolls with butter & jam, pot of yogurt, fried egg, banana).
