I loved the room size and how quiet it was I was able to rest well and felt like being at home. The place is outdated but it was very clean, had good hot water showers and even air conditioning that worked perfectly so it made my stay very pleasant! Oh and also had an elevator plus taxi pick up from the airport arranged!

It's a city with not much to offer. You're better off in La Paz, where the views are nicer, the scenery is just better. But you're really much better off in the more rural places, in the mountains, by the lakes and away from the cities.

Santa Cruz de la Sierra is an interesting city with a busy and parcely old part downtown. You find museums, the main plaza with the cathedral, shops for everyone, big restaurants and small places who sell delicious local food. Also thera are some modern shopping malls as also black markets where you find everything you might need for living. Cultural events are offered and some really nice places with abundant semi-tropical vegetation as well as places with a lake to swim and hotels. You can take a taxi or go by bus to almost every place you like, in general it is very safe, only in the outskirts you should be more careful and maybe not go there at nigt. Always take your purse with important things in front of you - just in case!
I certainly recommend Santa Cruz for a visit! A little bit outside there are the sanddunes and the botanical garden and other places like the Chiquitania, also very worth visiting!

Friendly people (is famous for its hospitality).
Friendly people (is famous for its hospitality). Is the most productive area of the country, you can find everything you expect of a big city. I like my staying and I will be back with more time and better organized agenda. Given the size of the city and the weather (mostly humid and hot) a car is necessary to visit properly Santa Cruz.

Nothing much to see in Santa Cruz, especially if you want to avoid catching Dengue Fever. I avoided traveling to more rural areas or even to the botanical gardens due to the high number of dengue cases there. In the city itself there's very little to see, although the nicer parts have some decent-looking restaurants and bars, so maybe during the dry season (less mosquitos) it might be a nice place to relax.

Santa cruz has a old historic center, a bit dangerous.
Santa cruz has a old historic center, a bit dangerous. Better to stay in the modern hotel district of Avenida San Martin, locals call this the VIP zone. Many nice restaurants and cafes, stores, boutiques and shopping malls.
I highly suggest you visit the jesuit mision area!
The five day circuit is perfect to see all the misions.

We liked Casa de Camba and the city center.
We liked Casa de Camba and the city center. It is not easy to walk on some streets because they are uneven. We didn’t like seeing the trash in the streets. Other than that there is plenty to do and see in the city.

Everything. Luis Alfredo makes you feel like you are in a 5 star hotel. From the moment he picks you up at the airport until the drop off. He will do everything to make your stay as perfect as possible. You don’t find many people like him anymore. He was kind enough to let us have a late check out and store our luggages so we can visit Santa Cruz during the day. What a great place to wait for your airport!
The lounge to chill and watch Netflix was great too!
Wonderful hotel in Santa Cruz where you get great service for a fair price. The staff is very friendly and helps you whenever help is needed. The sky bar has a nice view and great cocktails. The breakfast is good and adapted to the regional taste. The surrounding area is safe and offers a lot of shopping sites and good restaurants. I have stayed in the hotel several times by now and would always return.
It felt like a homestay, not like a hotel.
The staff/owner went out of their way to help me, phoning for Informations, putting me personally on the right bus...
Close to downtown.
Local busses pass right at the entrance.
Breakfast was with a good measure of eggs, cheese and marmalade. However adding some butter and more bread would make it perfect.
Reception both in the evening and morning offered good service - helping me find the bus terminal and calling me a taxi. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet - the gentleman in charge came out to see if there was anything I wanted and brought out some eggs. If more hotels offered service like this travelling would be a better experience.
Considering we only stayed in the hotel for one night, it was totally ok. The room was large with a big table with five chairs (even though the room is only for two?). The breakfast was varied with the cooks bringing out freshly-made pancakes and eggs. There is access to the pool, which is much needed on hot days.
Very modern with large blow up photos everywhere- thus lacking a strong Bolivian character. Although this should have annoyed/disappointed me, to my surprise there checked all the other thoughtful small boxes. Excellent breakfast, hot shower, quiet safe neighborhood, friendly helpful staff, great bed.
Location was excellent. Breakfast was nice every morning. The staff was super accommodating and helpful. Definitely a hotel I would return on my next trip. The room could have used some more chairs and another trash bin (there was not a single chair and only one trash bin)
Staying here was exactly what we needed for our last day and a half in Bolivia. Excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, spacious clean room. We loved it. The front desk staff were polite and friendly and bilingual. There are several great restaurants just 2 blocks away.
hotel proximity to airport is definitely a plus, pool was clean but did not have any attendants providing towels or service. Room was clean, AC worked fine, bathroom had hot water but bathtub had mold in on the edges, needs caulk.
Good coffee with hot milk, self-composed omelette, fantastic latin american music all over the hotel, good laundry service, fantastic pool+drinks, wonderful spa and massage, very positive and helpful staff.
People were very helpful and friendly, great service in the hotel and good quality people. Room was very clean, all elements were new and working properly. Location was exceptional.
