Guests adore the fact that they are across the street from the San Nazzaro Beach, possibly the most sought after beach spot in the Gambarogno region. They may use beach umbrellas for free and stay on the grass or directly on the sand. Ideal spot for vacationers wanting to relax, have a drink or coffee, and even eat some snacks and food. Casa Iguana ( name of the Spot) also has a small shop that sells basic items like milk, bread, etc. San Nazzaro is located in the Gambarogno area and there are many ways to arrive there. You may arrive by Bus, car, train or boat. Some nice attractions close by are: -Gambarogno Botanical Garden -Monte Gambarogno ( amazing hike with breathtaking views- Guests usually hike up from Alpe di Neggia ( 15 minute car ride from the apartment ); It's about a one hour hike. -Santomauro Centro Nautico- spot to rent out boats for a half a day or one day. Skipper can be included. Guests can discover many spots around the Lago Maggiore, including the "Isole di Brissago "a small Island that has a Hotel/Restaurant and a nice botanical garden. - Cardada cable car; Guests can take up a cable car from Orselina up to Cardada and hike around the area. There is a nice restaurant to have lunch. - Monte Tamaro-Nice Guests can take up a telecabin from Rivera( can be reached by car). Monte Tamaro has an Adventure park, zip line, coaster bob and Alpe Foppa Restaurant. - Splash and Spa is a modern water park with heated pools, water slides and large wellness area. Also located in Rivera. -The Valle Verzasca (Verzasca valley) is ideal for hiking, mountain biking and relaxing in nature. Forming the heart of the valley is the emerald-green Verzasca river with its polished gorges and deep pools made for summer bathing Nice cities to visit around the area: Ascona and Locarno ( reachable with public transport : boat/train/bus.
