Breakfast was fresh and adequate. The hotel was situated right in the village with quick access to everywhere. Would highly reccomend this place to anyone.

The location is super! Walking distance from everything, plus you get free bus ride in Locarno and Ascona and the bus station is very close to the hotel. The breakfast was great and the roomis very big.

Room was very nice with a fantastic view.

The hotel (actually a charming villa) was in a prime location, close to all the major attractions. The lady at the reception 🥰🥰🥰 was very friendly, welcomed us with complimentary chocolates. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy. The room was beyond comfortable, spotless and spacious, with elegant décor. Breakfast was a feast, with a wide variety of delicious options. Great restaurants and train station within walking distance. Ability to store your luggage after check-out. I received an email how to self check in. The details and pictures were on point to successfully get in. Functional room with all amenities. Safe and fridge was included in room. Enough for a short stay in Locarno

I love this hotel. I've stayed twice, once as a solo traveler and once with my sister, visiting me from the USA. The hotel is in an amazing location, with the waterfront on one side and a shortcut to the train station on the other. Restaurants, coffee shops and gelato are just next door. The rooms are minimalist. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is great, and I love that cappuccino, hot chocolate and vending machines are available at all times on the second floor. The staff was fantastic, each time.

Competent staff, great location, nice rooms and the lounge was great as well. Dinner at the external Restaurant belonging to the Hotel was also great. Will come back

We booked a stunning Junior Suite, which had a little terrace - overlooking the Lake. Just a short step to the lake over the road, which allowed for an early morning swim before breakfast. The jacuzzi and steam rooms were a great addition, and we loved our stay. Good breakfast included.

The view and the breakfast, including the breakfast staff, were fabulous!

Location was convenient to transportation, shopping, lake and dining. Breakfast was excellent with a wide Cato choose from.

While I've been to Locarno several times, this was my first stay in the Hotel City Locarno. I was very pleased with it. It's in a "downtown" area, but very walkable and pleasant (about an 8 minute walk from the train station, two minute walk from the closest bus stop) and is close to a park and Lake Maggiore. The staff spoke excellent English and was very friendly. My single room was smallish but very adequate, quiet, and comfortable; the bed was great. Plenty of outlets available. The bathroom facilities were fine. Wifi was great. The breakfast offerings were varied and tasty. We tried the Italian restaurant on the hotel property and were also pleased with the pleasant service and delicious food. (Reservations recommended or go right when it opens as it filled up quickly on a weekday night.) Property photos are accurate. Highly recommend this property.
