Beautiful, clean, well manicured and exquisite property. Claudia the front desk manager is the nicest, most attentive and knowledgeable host. Breakfast is delicious and amenities are stunning! Booked another trip to Amarla!!

United States of AmericaBreakfast was very big and very good. Location is just about the best possible in the historic center, yet the rooms are still quiet. The hotel itself is a beautiful 18th century house. The classic rooms don't look out onto open space and are fairly small. Bathrooms are charming, though old fashioned. These latter features were something to be expected in staying in this kind of boutique hotel in the old city.
United States of AmericaThe staff was so helpful, especially Claudia. She made sure anything that we needed we had. All the staff made us feel comfortable, welcome, and safe. The breakfast was delicious and I loved all the different options for food and drinks. The bedroom was clean and spacious, and we had a great view of the city. The pool and the rooftop terrace was the perfect place to enjoy the sunset. I could not recommend the hotel more, all the restaurants and museums were so close to the hotel that we were able to walk everywhere and explore the city.

The first day I arrived to Cartagena I couldn't stay at Amarla due to availability but I went to ask if it was possible to have the same room for the 2 day stay and I also wanted to know if it was possible to check in a couple of hours earlier, the two gentlemen who were there at the front desk told me it would be no problem since the rooms were vacant. They were very nice and I left that evening feeling great about booking my stay there.
