From your holiday home you have a view of the village and a wonderful panoramic view far into the landscape. In the morning, the first ray of sunshine welcomes you through the bedroom window, and often the day can end with an impressive sunset. Several seating areas a large lawn invite you to laze around. You can enjoy original Thuringian specialties during a barbecue on the newly built barbecue area. On cool or rainy days, our conservatory invites you to spend relaxing hours.
We, Max and Edeltraud Kranich, are always ready to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. We are happy to give you tips on special sights and attractions. We provide hiking poles, backpacks, hiking maps and more for your hiking trips. On request, we will accompany you on one of your hikes and tell you something about our region. We are looking forward to your visit !
The unique, varied landscape between the Coburg country and the legendary Rennsteig located, convinced already in the first hours of your stay. Hiking trails, such as the famous Way of St. James and cycle paths lead right past the house. The Rennsteig, Thuringia's most famous hiking trail, is only 12 km away. On the gold trail from Almerswind to Goldistal, you can experience the history of gold up close and, of course, you can even gold-wash yourself. Good luck! The exciting history of gold mining can be found in the Gold Museum. Many attractions, such as the Zinselhöhle in Meschenbach, a natural karst cave, the castle ruins of Schaumberger, the Schildkröt - doll museum in Rauenstein, the German Toy Museum in Sonneberg can tell a lot about our region. Thanks to its central location, we are an ideal starting point to many cultural and tourist attractions in Thuringia and Franconia. Tourist roads such as: The nature park route, the porcelain street and the toy road lead through Rauenstein. For example, Erfurt, Oberhof, Bad Staffelstein, Bamberg can be reached in about 1 hour.
