Barefoot in Tunis features three self- catering tiny house rentals (Barefoot - El Sheesh - Tea Cup) that offer simplified luxury with a rustic chic. Our tiny houses come with everything you need – nothing more, nothing less… and what they lack in square footage they make up with unique charm and clever design. Each of the three houses has its distinct style, but all have a fully equipped kitchen/ kitchenette, private bathroom an outdoor seating area with a bbq and a garden
If you are looking for something a little different, unusual, eccentric and cosy, you have come to the right place! “El-Sheesh” (Arabic for shutter), with its 16.5 sqm, is the 2nd largest of our three tiny houses at Barefoot in Tunis. This rustic tiny house comfortably fits 4 people. It features a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, a beautiful living niche, dining area and a charming outdoor deck for relaxing sunsets and chilled afternoons. The 1.40m bed is elevated above the living niche, opposite of the kitchen. It is accessible through a small ladder. The window next to your bed ensures that you sleep soundly with the sounds of nature and a breeze of fresh air. The living niche under the bed features a futon sofa facing a large window onto the wooden deck. The futon can be folded out into a bed to sleep another 2 people.
Its unique pottery and its amazingly hospitable inhabitants have made Tunis village a much-beloved local gem. But there is more to Tunis Village than pottery… you can go visit the only Carricature Museum in Egypt, spend time at the pool, go for a walk in the fields, or go for a bike tour … For lovers of natural history, the UNESCO World Heritage site “Wadi Hitan” (Valley of the Whales) is about an hour drive to this stunning 40 million years old site, which is home to the world’s largest collection of well-preserved whale fossils.
