Make sure you have a local person (friend, driver, or guide) with you! Be mindful of opening hours if you plan to go inside any of the pyramids. Consider booking a table ahead of time at "9 Pyramids Lounge" for a bite/drink with the best view of the Pyramids.
You have to leave your romantic notions at the door. Just ignore every single person there if you can. You will be hassled from the moment you arrive, it could ruin your time if you let it. Just buy your ticket at the ticket booth and go on your own. The actual workers have lanyards and are stationed in the pyramids or at gates. MANY other people will tell you they work there and will go on and on. They give themselves up when they start talking about carriage rides. It is SO WORTH GOING, just be prepared.
What a shame this is to see one the biggest phenomenons of the word in such shambles. Government needs to do something about the surrounding neighberhoods. Everything outside the pyramids looks like its it's falling apart. Dirty streets, garbage everywhere, the people appear desperate for money. Shame
The city ends and the desert begins. A must see for any Egypt traveler. Can do guided or unguided tours. If you want to go in the Pyramids, the Saqqara pramids are much better preserved with more to look at than the Giza ones. Camel rides are picturesque around the pyramids and the great sphinx is just that.
Pyramids are beautiful what makes your journey bad is the locals. They will make sure to annoy you by comments ,force buy. Tips : 1. dnt entertain any one if they asking to help you to click pics even though they say they dnt want money they will ended up asking something from you. Very rude and start putting bad words if you say no. Use your selfie stick or ask any tourist to take your pic but strictly no locals. 2. Most of the people has fake government ids. they will offer help but they will ask you huge money after that or simply they will say give your watch or sunglasses. 3. Taxi will ask you too much money simply book uber or bargain. 4. They will try to put sweet words by calling your country name and all do complete bargain on souviners , camel , horse ridding they will ask for 1000 but it was of only 100 or less. 5. Be aware of the kids, school kid will ask photos with you they will not stop for 1-2 pics.
This is an amazing place to visit. But make sure you have a good guide arranged before hand. My advise would be to enter the entrance gate of the pyramids, and then if you wish to ride a horse or camel , take one from inside the gates. There is a shocking level of animal cruelty taking place here. Its a cart horse and camels living hell. Just so you are prepared for it!! Egypt, please do something about it!!!!!!
Prime location right in front of the entrance to the Giza Pyramids complex with phenomenal views of the pyramids from the rooms and especially the roof terrace. Mohamed was a phenomenal host and helped us arrange a great tour of the pyramids. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a memorable one. We started as clients but became fast friends and will surely recommend Life Pyramids inn to all friends and family and will be back soon, inshallah!
The Arabella Residence was centrally located for all our activities which were reachable by on average, no more than 30 minutes, via Uber rides to City Stars Mall, Canada International College, Giza pyramids, Museum of Egypt and Cairo Airport, respectively. The staff were very friendly and attentive to all our requests. They made our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Definitely recommend them for future stays and would be guests.
The hotel was close to the Giza Pyramids; I was able to walk 15 minutes to there. The breakfast area was on the roof and had a great view to the pyramids. The breakfast was delicious (pita, soft cheese, beans, cucumber, tomato, coffee, etc). The room also had great views to the pyramid with a balcony. The room and hotel were very well done and comfortable to stay at. The aircon works well.
Loved my room and view of the Giza Pyramids from my balcony, very lovely and helpful staff who genuinely care about you and about making your stay in Egypt a great one. I loved my daily morning breakfasts too! Very pretty and spacious room. I highly recommend Pyramids Planet and would definitely stay here again in a heart beat!
The location of the hotel is fantastic and we were on a high floor so the view of the Nile and Giza pyramids silhouette from afar was great. Their food is very good as well, and while we did not try the terrace restaurant/ coffee place, it looks like it was a nice vibes place.
View and Location... the roof top view of the pyramids is absolutely beautiful for the price you are paying at this adorable hotel. Very close to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx. The hotel tour we set up exceeded our expectations, we had an amazing day for our one night stay in Giza.
The view from this hotel is remarkable. And the location to the Giza pyramids can't be beat! Mohamad and his staff picked us up from the airport and even would help setting up tour guides. Breakfast was fantastic as well.
