Madrid is very nice and cosy with a lot of parks and walking spaces. On every corner there is a public bench where you can sit and watch other people. There are no tourist highlights, but nevertheless enough to see. Small bars to have a drink or eat tapas. Metro is 10 trips for Euro 6.10 which is extremely cheap and it is very reliable and fast.
The only problem: a lot spanish don't speak english.

Madrid has all the excitement and facilities of a capitol city but is friendly, safe, and comparatively easy to navigate. I loved the art galleries, theatres, and shopping but also the relaxed squares, flamenco and traditional dining.

We found Madrid walkable and clean with interesting food and world-class attractions that were affordable and easy to access. We loved Lexi Walking Tours for an informative and entertaining introduction to the city and she provided a couple tips that really paid off: you'll find great food along Cava Baja and take the cheap 30-minute train trip to visit the historic city of Toledo (which you can view on the small trolley, the VisionTrain). BTW, hardly any lines for the Prado in the afternoon. You must see a flamenco show! The art form is powerful!

A fabulous buzzy city with incredible architecture and green space. We will return to explore. Restaurants and bars all amazing - people in the street really friendly and helpful. We came from Malaga to Madrid by train - that was superb. Lots of taxis at reasonable costs. We will be back - so cross with our hotel experience.

Madrid was a nice surprise.
Madrid was a nice surprise. It's a big city with nice buildings and a well maintained old town. The night life was incredible with cool bars, good food and felt safe out on the busy streets. I would do again!
The location is perfect as is 5 mins from terminal 1 and 10 mins from terminal 4 . They have free shuttle ! Which is very handy as you don’t have to worry to get a taxi or a local bus .
The staff was really friendly. I ask about how to get from hotel to city centre , and the woman was very friendly and explain to me in detail which lines of tube I needed to get and gave me a map.
The room was very clean , comfortable and big . Next time i will go to madrid will definitely stay in here again !!
Such a lovely hotel, the staff are great and very helpful, The location is perfect right in the city centre and a walking distance to all the tourist attractions. Room was lovely with a massive bed that was very comfortable and a beautiful view of the street from the balcony. The bathroom was big with an amazing shower. Everything was very clean. Would recommend for anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Madrid. I will definitely be returning!
Excellent location, clean and all the necessary amenities. lots of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars around in a not very touristy part of Madrid. Yet it’s close to the city centre and the main sights. A walk to Gran Via takes 25 minutes (but there is of course also a Metro station nearby).
The hotel is based very central at Gran Via. A good and various breakfast is offered. But the best part is the rooftop bar and pool, at the city centre but still calm enough to relax during the day - or the night.
