There is a lot of concrete in and around Torrevieja and a lot of continuing development. The beach front areas were usually very busy. There are more attractive and quieter beach resorts along the coast - for example Los Alcázares to the south or Santa Pola to the north - for those who want a quieter time.

The town itself is ugly and busy. The beaches are nice. However, the surrounding countryside is very good for cycling and/or walking. There are dedicated cycle paths along the main roads to other towns nearby and also lots of quiet country lanes with not much traffic.

Torrevieja is not for everyone as it’s a typical working Spanish town albeit with a lovely promenade and beach. However there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants. I especially recommend the ‘chino’ shops where you can buy everything you didn’t know you needed!

Hotel was in a perfect location couldn't be better. Property on the whole is in need of tlc
But our room was very clean. Reception very good and the local supermarket very equipt.
Soap very limited to 2 little sachets. Take your own. Kitchen clean loved making a cuppa in the morning and sitting on the balcony overlooking the marina. . All in all a perfect stay in a clean appartment. If they renovated the area it would be perfect 🥰 we had some lovely beach walks and amazing meals along the way.

First time here and thoroughly enjoyed the area and the holiday. Nice choice of beaches, shopping and restaurants/cafes.
Unless close to a bus route, you would need a car to visit all the spots as it is quite spread out.
If in the marina area I can recommend an excellent gluten free bakery and café - Coffee and Toffee in Calle Joaquín Chapaprieta. Delicious pastries in a lovely relaxing environment.
If on Playa de los Locos, have a meal at El Tiburón, excellent food at reasonable prices.
If you do have a car then Murcia is well worth a visit, plenty to see and do

Not the cleanest of towns as there are lots of dog feces on the pavements so it is necessary to constantly watch the ground in case you step in a nasty surprise. The locals don't seem to bother about picking up after their animals.
Location is amazing. It is a rare find for Torrevieja to live in such green area and just next to the beach. Children's playground in a shady place in the closed territory of the apartment complex - amazing option.
The balcony is amazing. There is chilly most of the day and it is pretty interesting to watch the birds living in the palm trees.
It is also a great option to have an underground parking just under the apartment building.
Apartment is very cosy and stylist. Very well equipped.
Personnel is excellent, especially in the restaurant, and the safeguard is quite fast-).
There was only one issue during our stay although. One night, I accidentally closed the entrance door of the apartment. I went to reception to help me to open the door of my apartment, as my family had slept already. The reception guys rejected to help me, so I had to come back again and wake my family up.
But in general impression is quite positive. This is Spain, enjoy you holidays)
I liked the location, only a short walk from the bus station and a big supermarket. But you had to walk a bit to and from the beach promenade, but it was ok, lots of shops and people on the way. I was happy to have a fridge in my room and balconies with a street view and table and chairs. I was given a room that I requested and I thank for that. The hotel was small and cozy, right in the middle of town. The owners were nice.
Property was spotless, location was great. was great having washing machine and air conditioning. very secure and safe area. locals are very friendly and helpful. staff at hotel Madrid were super helpful, short 10minute walk to beautiful beach. Pool was very clean and as pictures on booking.com. Smart TV was great size. two balcony’s in townhouse and also small roof terrace. Would highly recommend.
The apartment is very well located, on the beach. It has all the needed equipment you need and with a great view. You have a lot of options to eat just going downstairs with a fair price, also 10-min walking route to different restaurants. The view is amazing where you can be in front of the Mediterranean ocean just from the balcony. I really recommend it for families with kids or elderly people.
The Aparthotel Costa Blanca was very close to the bus station and the Mercadona. There was a 10 to 15 walk to the promenade and beach area. There is a lovely panaderia, a minute's walk from the reception area. The apartment (incl. the bathroom / shower area) was spacious, bright and clean. The staff at the Aparthotel were very friendly, in particular I would commend Julia, the manager.
Location is exceptional, cozy apartment for 1-2 person. Double bed is 140cm so for 1 it is very comfortable, nice terrace and spacious area in the room. Hot water is not really hot mostly warm which is nice during summer. Entrace of the building is really beautiful!
The girl Anna who gave me the keys did not speak English but it was not a problem, she helped with everything I needed.
The decor, The style, everything was beyond exceptional. The place has a very welcoming feeling about it.
We were greeted by Cristina when we arrived and she made us feel very welcome. I would recommend this stay to anyone coming to Torrevieja, its also located next to a nice big pool bar/restaurant and just a 3 min walk to a supermarket so all amenities are catered for.
Lovely apartment overlooking Los Locos Beach. Quieter end of the Torrevieja strip so great in the evening.
Clean, comfy and well laid out apartment.
Lovely views of Los Locos beach catching the sunrise every day.
Beds were great, so good to have a solid mattress in an apartment in Spain.
the location is fantastic near to the beaches and supermarket also is two steps from the bus stops that takes you to torrevieja. the views are fantastic from both sides for me is one of the best places i’ve been in spain.
very high speed wifi, good lifts. for me that was great.
Everything was comfortable, including short distance to the beach and shops.
The host was kind-hearted and responsive.
The studio has all the facilities and nicely designed, the owner has a good taste! Thank you for the soft pillows - it was a really gift in Spain!
Lovely apartment with everything we needed for our (family of five) stay , lovely friendly owner who was there to meet us on arrival although we arrived a little late so apologies for that . Great pool area which wasn't to busy or loud , all in all a great stay 👍
Room comfortable nice balcony all staff were friendly and helpful the hotel was clean plenty of choice for breakfast and in a good position for travelling into town or whichever way you choose to go ,my second time staying here,
The apartment was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The location was good with amenities in walking distance. It is a very nice place to stay and enjoy either a restful or active holiday in this part of Spain.
The room was cleaned every single day and was spotless. The hotel staff were very kind. The room meeted the expectations of a basic 2 person bedroom. The airconditioning was always on point. Overall a very good room
The apartment is spacious and clean, located in the central part of Torrevieja, close to several parks. It was easy to communicate with Olga, check-in and check-out were easy.
Nothing very much as we were highly disappointed.
Well the parking facilities for parking the car was great !
The area was quiet I must admit even sleeping with open window.
Self service breakfast was ok, and not a bad variety for a small hotel. Room was lovely, very comfotable bed, good shower, air con.
Staff were fantastic
