Casa Emilio, Hotel Nelva, and Sercotel JC1 Murcia got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Murcia.
We've travelled extensively around Spain & feel Murcia is in our top 3 cities. It's quite compact, with a pedestrianised centre. There are a few places to visit but probably only a couple of days' worth. The restaurants are great with plenty of choices & like most Spanish cities there are cafes & bars everywhere. It has quite a young feel given its university status & isn't full of tourists, rather Spaniards on day trips or visiting. The airport is very modern, has some great views of the runway & is about a £25 taxi to Murcia centre. I recommend a 3-day trip then head down to the Mar Menor.
Only a short 20 minute drive from Murcia airport to Las Terrazas de La Torre Golf resort. Gorgeous beaches within a 15 minute drive of the resort. Although the resort is quiet, the golf course is amazing with immaculate grounds and within a short drive you can find plenty of shops, bars, local markets, sporting facilities and restaurants within the region.
Murcia city is beautiful, it's quite small, so you can walk everywhere, I like to walk a lot, so in 5h I managed to walk around all city centre and some places a bit outside, visited few museums and churches, parks, squares, walked by river. I've been inside Cathedral and museum, Santa Clara Museum and Real Casino- and I recommend all of those attractions. Besides that you have few more museums to see, many places have free entry or just a few euros to enter. City is nice, calm and vibrant at the same time, has some great architecture. nice details, like murals, flowers, cactus, some small architecture elements, is clean and relaxing, has a lot of green areas, parks, plants, palms. It has boards with short tourism information, so you can read it and learn something about buildings you you pass by. You have a lot of bars, restaurants all around center, nice food to try, prices of food and alcohol are very good, there is quite a big nightlife with a lot of pubs, parties as it's student city. If you are coming for longer there are a lot of amazing places to visit within region, but you need a car to do that. I went on my second day to Alicante by train- you have trains and buses to other cities, but I find it a bit hard to plan with google maps- google maps didn't showed accurate information (I missed my train to Alicante and google maps said next one is in few hours, but irl it was in 1h, if I wouldnt be already in the station I could give up trip, so mind that maps may be not accurate), there was more frequent service than maps said.
I love spending a day or 2 walking around Murcia city, the old buildings, churches, casino etc The shops from tiny boutiques to department stores. It is quite compact so you can fit allot into a day. Walking by the river is always a different experience.. Some excellent restaurants and beautiful plazas to unwind in, a real treat, even my 28 year old son loves it.
This is one of the better hotels that we have stayed in. Every thing was just right, the receptionist the bar tender, the waitress at breakfast, the selection of food. Just simply excellent. john & Mary Marsden
A very Spanish city, great food, lots to see, beautiful cathedral and services.nice market and plenty of walks and places of interest.excellent transport and outlying shopping centres very friendly citizens
It actually deserves the 4star rating unlike most that have it in Spain. Very clean, comfortable, spacious and with pleasant modern decor. The spa bath is great and there is no shortage of hot water. The queen suite is a really perfect choice for a romantic break or if you just prefer higher quality accomodation than the average. Tips: plenty of free street parking available nearby + supermarkets and gasolineras where you can get snacks. And if you want something fun to do, look up El Desafio del Lobo, 10mins drive away
Murcia
This hostel was spacious and secure, and very well-located. I met some really lovely fellow travellers in my room, I think Murcia in general is a very relaxed and friendly town. The best part of my stay was definitely Mario, a friendly employee who I felt very welcomed by, especially as a solo traveller (despite the language barrier!) - he showed me how to improve my pasta cooking and I will forever be grateful :-D
The hotel is in a great central location, easy to walk round the centre of Murcia, only a few minutes walk to the cathedral. We booked the Junior suite, which was a good size and the beds very comfortable. The staff at the hotel are always friendly and happy to help with any questions. We visit Murcia regularly and this is our hotel of choice, due to location and the excellent service we receive
The location, two or three minutes walk from the hotel to the tram stop makes getting into Murcia really easy. Free parking outside or 3 euros underground. Good selection for breakfast. Very friendly staff
Murcia
Excellent location for walking into the city centre. Comfortable bed. Lots of hot water and good size shower stall. Made easy access nearby pay parking (€6.50/day) available during busy Fiesta time.
New budget hotel with first class rooms, super clean and friendly staff, on site parking too. Apart from breakfast there's no food and no bar but next door is a shopping Mall if your desperate.
Staff was amazing! We had a lovely view of the plaza below and the church. Everything was nice, clean, and tidy. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the main attractions.
Perfect business hotel just off the motor way with parking garage below. 10 minute walk to city centre. A few nice bars, places for breakfast, and other small shops nearby.
In the middle of the city center. 1 minute walk from the Cathedral and surrounded by a number of good restaurants and bars.
