Hotel in Cartagena
This modern hotel is located in central Cartagena, opposite the tourist office and the ancient city walls. Cartagena´s train and bus stations are within a 3-minute walk. Excellent location, just a 10 minutes walk to the downtown area. Read prior reviews complaining about the building and the mattresses. Actually, found them perfect, they are great for your back, not too hard, nor too soft. Excellent four star restaurant, great dinner, wonderful breakfast (don’t miss it). Not aware that the building had parking, very secure and inexpensive.
Hotel in Cartagena
Located on one of Cartagena’s main streets, Sercotel Alfonso XIII is 1640 feet from the Old Town. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Covid times, never easy. Parking next door 16 euros a day. Hotel had lifts for easy access with luggage. Very spacious rooms and we had requested walk in shower for my mother. Tea, Coffee facilities and a small fridge. Very very comfortable beds and lots of hot water. Breakfast buffet well organised due to covid , lots of choice, great coffee. Walk to harbour 10 to 15 minutes, safe walk and easy to find the centre. January we were told, not a good travel month as repairs to boats, buses, the lift to the castle. BUT this hotel is excellent.

Featuring a shared lounge and a terrace, LoopINN Hostel Cartagena is located in Cartagena. The hostel has a fitness center, a shared kitchen and free WiFi throughout the property. Good value for the money. A little noisy at times but its because of guests. Small rooms but good for the price. We had a little issue with a dog left in a room all day and night and barking non stop but it was eventually solved. We liked it here!

Very good place to visit if you are interested in history. It is very easy to get around. Everywhere was in walking distance. The full city card was very good value. We preferred to eat outside the tourist area in small bars with local food.
The old quarter of town is great for just walking around, with very interesting historic architecture from Roman sites to exquisite Art Nouveau houses and business premises. A pity about all the vacant plots, though, and the general tackiness of the commercial centre. Remembering how difficult it was to get an enjoyable meal at a reasonable price on my last visit, I booked a self-catering apartment this time. I was there at the end of March on both visits, and expect that there would be many more and better dining options from Easter onwards.
Lovely town. Just booked one night. Arrived at about 2 pm. Was perfect amount of time to explore , have a lovely late lunch and watch the Palm Sunday parade that was amazing. Lots of lovely little shops to explore although we’re shut Sunday when we were there, Roman amphitheatre was amazing and great at night to photograph.
Surprised to find a shabby dirty town. The area around the castle was not maintained. The streets are dirty and there is a general air of dilapidation and decrepitude. People did not seem welcoming nor focused on tourists nor customer service. There was a distinct lack of information about what to do and see
We thoroughly enjoyed Cartagena. We returned after some thirty years and were very impressed. It has always been a great historical centre of interest with three thousand years of history but now it’s geared to the visitor more and more elegant with very good restaurants and cafes.
Cartagena is a beautiful city and somewhat unknown compared to other cities in Spain, easy to visit, its oldtown, its port and its amphitheater, as well as its bohemian atmosphere make it a quiet jewel but full of history city in the Mediterranean.
Great location in the city centre close to the port, near to the roman theatre, which is the only thing worth the visit in Cartagena, otherwise the city has nothing to offer. Hotel is an average, with tiny parking place under the ground where you will find difficult to park with large vehicle. Rooms not very modern, terrace would need facelift.
The breakfast was superb. The bed was very comfy the air on was good everywhere was clean and we had a bath which was fabulous. Staff were superb ( spoke English and were v helpful) the best bonus is it’s pet friendly and they supplied a bed and bowls for her. I thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone very good value for money.
The location is good, even though it's not central. It's close to many bakeries and grocery stores and the parking is free. The hotel is what you pay for. It's very clean and the staff is friendly. Good air conditioning and decent Wi-Fi.
For a B&B hotel, room (deluxe) was surprisingly comfortable and very spacious with an excellent bathroom and shower. Location was also very good with immediate access to the main shopping area and bars and restaurants.
Cartagena
A modern, clean airy and bright apartment in a great location by the train station and only a short walk down to the port. Really helpful staff too- will be recommending to friends and family for future visits to Cartagena

Very new and modern hotel. The hotel and the room/bathroom were very clean. Airco worked well. Free WiFi. Free parking in front of hotel available. Close by the city. Nice breakfast.
Apartment is wonderful. Full of details that make your stay simply perfect. Location just next to the city center and including parking, which something luxury in Cartagena city center.
Location, easy walk to the city centre. room are clean and really nice to have 2 bottles of free water in the fridge for the hot day. paid 10€ for secure hotel parking.
