OVO Network specialises in beautiful, hand-picked luxury properties for unique stays in the French Alps. Chalet Batieu is an OVO Network property. It is a 6 bedroom 3 bathroom chalet for 14 spread over 3 floors (2 with mezzanines) and 270 m2 of floor space. With two bedrooms and a bathroom on each of the three  floors, the property has been set up with large families or several families in mind. The OVO Network team’s opinion - Unusually there are four lounge spaces at Chalet Batieu; the lounge on the main communal floor surrounds the open fireplace, there is also a TV lounge on this floor. On the lower ground floor there is another lounge, with a smaller second kitchen and dining space - perfect for use as a play space if there are lots of children in your group, or a place where the grandparents can enjoy some peace and quiet! Then finally the fourth lounge space, also on the lower ground floor, houses the home cinema and games room. The ski room is a real plus - as it keeps wet kit for 14 out of the chalet, leaving indoors clutter-free! In the morning everything will be dry, warm, and ready to go, so that all the fun can begin all over again! This space will also be invaluable for storing walking boots, climbing helmets and harnesses, bikes etc in the summertime. Access to the partially sheltered exterior jacuzzi is from the terrace off the main communal floor, either via the new exterior stairs, or via the lower ground floor. From left to right the panoramic views look down the valley towards La Clusaz, then sweep across the Gotty towards the Col des Aravis, ending with the magnificent Etale slopes. Beautiful during the day, the view is so pretty at night time, with the backdrop of the stars! Summer or winter alike, no matter what the weather, the views from Chalet Batieu are vast and mesmerising. Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included.

There's a great choice of winter sports right on your doorstep at Chalet Batieu - a green piste runs from the bottom of the garden right into La Clusaz, the telecabine and ski school. In fact, you're so close to the piste, there's a snow cannon in the garden! There are nursery slopes and gentle blues on Beauregard and more experienced skiers and boarders will find plenty of challenge at La Balme. There's also a good choice of cross-country trails, particularly on the Beauregard plateau, and you can pick up a map from the tourist office in La Clusaz. Non-skiers can get their skates on at the ice rink in La Clusaz, go to the cinema, or try sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. If you're looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the heated outdoor pool at La Clusaz, while the snow falls gently around you. Just 35 minutes away, the medieval city of Annecy offers a great choice of shops, restaurants, galleries and museums, as well as swimming, boating, golf and watersports in the cleanest lake in Europe. At the end of the day, relax over a meal in a local restaurant, or perhaps a barbecue and a glass of wine on the terrace of your chalet as the sun sinks behind the peaks.
