We needed two rooms but they were able to be adjoining. They were each small which is typical. Breakfast was good. Fortunately there was a small elevator.

One of the major seaports connecting France and England, Saint Malo is Brittany’s most visited town and a tourist destination in its own right.
The Old Town overlooks the English Channel and is completely surrounded by restored walls. You get a great view of them if you arrive on the ferries from England to St Malo (either direct or by the Channel Islands). Once an island, this citadel now shelters behind it the hundreds of sailing boats bobbing in the modern harbor.
Within the Old Town are bars and restaurants serving oysters from nearby Cancale, and many of the St Malo hotels. The most notable sights are the cathedral with its colorful, stained-glass window, and the castle - site of the town's museum.
The beaches are sandy, though the water is somewhat bracing. A causeway leads to Grand Bé, a rocky island housing the tomb of Chateaubriand, its most famous son. To the south is the 14th-century Solidor Tower, a remarkable collection of artifacts from voyages around Cape Horn. Further inland is Labyrinthe du Corsaire, a huge maze that will keep kids busy for hours.
In the Rance River, connecting the sea to Dinan, is the world’s first tidal power station. The road over it leads to Dinard Airport, the closest to Saint-Malo.

The walk around the walls was stunning, the views were beautiful. A walk out to the Fort Nationale at low tide is interesting. Find out about St Malo's history then submerge yourself in the streets . It's fascinating. There's lots of lovely shops and restaurants. The beaches are beautiful. The aquarium is fabulous, don't miss out the nautical bus. That's worth your entrance fee alone.

The old town has been brilliantly restored after the war and is a great place to wander around and also find god places to eat. Great beach on the doorstep and boat trips to nearby places including Dinard and the old city of Dinan up the river Rance (recommended). Easy to get around, but the pavement is irregular (stones) and less ideal for people with mobility issues. We ate at Hotel Les Chiens du Guet which was good and not too expensive. We also recommend Boulangerie Madlenn Intra. Visit to the Cathedral and the Fort National are worthwhile. We were there in early June so not too busy but even so can get busy during the day in intramuros.

Saint Malo is very strong in marketing.
Saint Malo is very strong in marketing. The pirate image is fake. There is no life inside the city walls: after 7 p.m. there is no one on the streets. But if you would like to watch Mont Saint Michel, this town is a good choice to sleep, imho it is still better than somewhere near MSM.

Saint Malo is among my top favourite destinations in France.
Saint Malo is among my top favourite destinations in France. From the charming ramparts of the walled city to the majestic feeling of walking over seabed along the Sillon Beach (Plage du Sillon). From the exquisite savours of the local cuisine to the relaxing treatments at the local spas. Have your camera ready: the sun sets with pomp and circumstance in Saint Malo!
It was worth paying extra for a sea view room which was also quieter as the hotel is located above restaurants
The location right in the middle of St Malo old town was good with a huge choice of restaurants/cafes/bars and shopping all within a short walk
We really liked the St Malo Cafe a hundred metres away. Not cheap but a real French eating expereience with a good choice of wines
Reception staff were excellent friendly and helpful
This is the type of hotel you love to discover. Perfectly located inside the old city and with a garage, it offers everything you need and I am not even mentioning the amazing staff. On business I try to use hotel chains but made an exception in this case because of the location. I was not disappointed at all because as a whole the hotel was simply perfect. There is even a beach close a few steps away but no time to enjoy it.
Great location to train, port and shops. A short 10 min walk to St.Malo, a famous medieval walled city rich in centuries of history, including more recent times when the Nazis locked the gates of the city to prevent the citizens from escape.. inside, the city is a beautiful labyrinth of cobbled alleys and lanes filled with cafes, shops, hotels and restaurants. Truely great experience worth investing the time to see.
The hotel was ideal for us as we know this area by the marina well. 15 minutes walk to the walled city and very much a local area away from the tourists. The pub offers pub food and some nights have music. There's a restaurant next door that has an open charcoal grill and fantastic food. Book early as it's very popular with the locals. Also there's a good seafood restaurant near the waterfront.
Great location inside the walled city of Saint Malo, close to many restaurants, the ramparts and beaches. For parking there's the possibility to reserve a spot with the hotel (€20/night), but do so in advance as spots are not guaranteed. Otherwise, there is outdoor public parking just outside the walled city which is reasonably priced as they don't charge between 19:00-9:00.
In Saint-Malo for a conference. Location was perfect right next to the conference center. From a tourist perspective it was also perfect, right at the seaside and less than 5 minutes from the walled city and all it's amenities. The building itself was also beautiful. We didn't register it properly before we arrived but it is an amazingly beautiful building.
The hotel was easy to find when entering the walled city with a car to drop off the bags in front of the hotel. The reception was very warm and welcoming. A bottle of water was provided for guests in the lobby. The bed and the room were very comfortable. The breakfast was sumptuous. Your every need was addressed by reception.
The location first of all is amazing- right on the water, fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean. The hotel itself is super cute and staff mainly very friendly. The room was very clean. Would DEFINITELY stay here again! Oh and the restaurant was really really tasty as well 😋
Our host was so accommodating about our bikes and brought them in for the night so we knew they were safe. Plus he gave us two amazing restaurant recommendations that were wonderful!!! Loved the location near the ramparts. It was very nice to be inside of the walled city!
Top location in the center of Saint-Malo, close to restaurants and shops. Hotel and rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. Good choice for breakfast, although it is a pity that the breakfast room is in the basement of the hotel.
The staff was very friendly and gave us tips on Saint-Malo and other places in Bretagne e Normandie. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was pleasant. It's a very cozy hotel, and I certainly would come back.
The place is amazing and unusual, not just your regular boring apartment or hotel room. It's full of weird and beautiful artifacts and located in the heart of Saint-Malo. Very advisable for everyone travelling with friends!
chose this hotel because it came with parking so that we can offload and load up our luggage easily. the rooms and bathroom is very spacious, comfortable and clean. its in the center of town and yet quiet at night.
The staff went way beyond helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they were all delightful 😊
Lovely quaint hotel with parking, and extremely clean. Beach 2 secs away and a lovely walk into the old town.
Room very good, breakfast excellent for our needs, and easy to find a parking space outside the hotel - maybe becasue it was a Sunday evening when we arrived for the early morning ferry.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about their town. Even before we arrived Aurelie was helpful with good tips on how to access the old town and hotel.
Amazing location, right in the center of town, this hotel is a lovely quiet place to get away. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again!
