An amazing and super clean room in a very historic half-timbered building from 17th Century! Very convenient location in the center of Vernon at its most historic street but very close to the train station. Many cafes and restaurants nearby. Very friendly and very accommodating host.
Walking up the 17th century stairs to the 3rd floor is a part of a historic experience, though it may be a little difficult for someone with limited mobility. Also, people used to be shorter in 17th century, so if you are tall, watch your head while passing wood beams! ;=)
Highly recommended!
Le Marché de l'Elégance à Vernon-Giverny - Claude Monet - Downtown is located in Vernon, just 20 miles from Le CADRAN and 30 miles from Train station of Dreux.

The location is very close to all the cafes and restaurants, all on walking distance.
Was very easy to access the apartment with a code and key in the lock box.

A quiet village with a train station that was a 50 minute ride from Paris.Good location for Monets Gardens as there is a toot toot train/shuttle to get to the gardens.
Chateau Bizy worth a visit too.
Vernon lies on the Seine and there is a pleasant walk along the river.

Beautiful picturesque town !
Beautiful picturesque town ! Very quaint cobblestone streets - where one wants to go for endless walks. Clean and away from humdrum and routine life ! Plenty of food options- however most of them seemed closed Monday evenings. A Taco place was thankfully open and where we had dinner- it was excellent.
Very well connected by train from Paris ! Also you can take a taxi !Go visit Vernon🙂

I think, that it is a very nice, romantic town to stay.
I think, that it is a very nice, romantic town to stay. It is very quiet and full of nice people. I´ve catched a rainy weather, so that is the reason, that I would choose next time a longer stay. But there are many options how to get along with your time. You can rent a bike and visit other places next to Vernon. I will definately come back and visit Giverny, Bizy and so on.

We went to Vernon looking for a town to move to.
We went to Vernon looking for a town to move to. We also tried Pacy-sur-Eure and Gisors, both nearby. Gisors had a cooler main street, Pacy is too quiet and we bought a house in Vernon. 1:07 by train to Paris, excellent shopping in both shops and large stores and within 25 miles of Rouen where there's everything. About 45 minutes to Paris by car not in rush hour. It feels good, it's safe and it's relaxing. It took us about 75 minutes to drive to Le Havre and have lunch looking at the English Channel.
Also, it's located on the Seine, which is beautiful to look at.

Vernon is an interesting town with lots of shops and a huge weekly market. We enjoyed walks by the river. Vernon would be of particular interest to anyone interested in World War 11 - a very moving history.

Some interesting timber framed architecture.
Some interesting timber framed architecture. Sit in the sun , enjoy a beer and watch the weddings at hotel de Ville opposite the large church on Saturdays
Had a couple of good meals. Particularly enjoyed dinner at the Bistro Des Fleurs, book a table well in advance, the owner speaks English.
Very few places open for dinner on Sunday evening.
There is a small museum.
Walk by the Seine.
Not far from Monets house and garden at Giverny, pre book tickets online, then enter via the Group entrance, not the individual one.
The apartment is a cozy, hidden pearl that makes you feel at home. Bright, nicely decorated, clean, fully equipped, silent at night. It is even more beautiful than in the pictures! You can really stay there for a few days and live like a local (you can cook, wash your clothes, etc.). Yes, you have two floors of stairs to go up, but this is Vernon: elevators are not common here! Plus, the stairs are not steep, just a little narrow. Great communication with the host, great self-checkin procedure. Would definitely go back there.
We had the entire apartment inside the house for ourselves. The house was a very charming old house and was very beautifully decorated. The living room and bedroom were both clean and spacious. Huge and comfortable bed. Kitchen was fully equipped. Check in and check out was warm and easy. It was a few mins short drive to the old town centre of Vernon (which btw was unexpectedly charming and authentic despite being a small town, and we really loved it). There is sheltered parking space available in the front yard of the house.
The location for the property is wonderful! A short walk from train station and is in city center. Grocery store nearby and the kitchen has everything you need. The room setup is perfect. The host even set me up with a portable fan. The kitchen was stocked and I had everything I needed. I was able to walk to Claude Monet’s home in Giverny and then biked back to the town. There was even a music festival right outside the apartment while I was there- bonus!! The location was wonderful.
Anna met me as soon as I arrived to show me the apartment, as well as to give some tips on how to get around Vernon. She went above and beyond by booking me a taxi to and from an alternative train station to Vernon-Giverny (which would have otherwise been a short walk to/from her apartment) since there were no trains going from Paris on my travel dates due to a transport strike. Very easy to communicate with her. She was an excellent host!
lovely clean, comfortable 2 bedroom apartment. Both bedrooms open onto a spacious terrace overlooking the river Seine.Peaceful area yet close to town centre. Safe parking on street. Pascal was very helpful when we needed information about local restaurants.
Handy for the gardens at Giverny, you can walk in 30 minutes or there is a tourist train and a shuttle bus from Vernon.
Vernon is a very pleasant town, lots of medieval buildings.
It’s a new built unit. Nice set up with big table and chairs. Sitting area outside. Good kitchen with enough utensils.it hs a small dishwasher .2 bedrooms and bathroom and one toilet.
Great area for walks to Vernon over looking the Seine. Easy drive to Givency.
We would stay again.
Vernon is a beautiful town close both rouen and paris and literally down the road from monets house at giverny
The property is as new and has everything you can think of ,Jocelyn is the perfect landlady and nothing is too much trouble
I look forward to foing back
This was the perfect place for us to stay in Vernon. So close to Monet's home and gardens, easy to get around town, quiet, and near everything. We especially liked having both a tub and a shower upstairs. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!
clean, uniquely decorated with a good taste of art, and most importantly, we loved the location—-very close to Vernon station (6 mins walk). It also contains a table football! We really enjoyed it. The opener is super helpful and responsive, thank you!
didn't use the restaurant and had both a standard double and superior, both rooms were great value and very comfortable. location was great too. Hotels own car park is very small and tight! but not to worry, plenty of on street parking which is cheap
The apartment was perfect. It was very clean and well appointed. We were very comfortable . It had safe courtyard parking. We enjoyed Vernon very much. We had a lovely dinner in a restaurant that was recommended.
Very nice old renovated house, close to Vernon and Giverny (with house of Monet). Such places have a soul... Very nice owner, petit dejenuer in old living room like in old Normady.
It's wonderful for a weekend visit, the host was very kind and it's in a great location near the central station. They also left me little gifts around the apartment, i loved it!
Great location for visiting Monets garden in Giverny as well as for a visit to Vernon.
Spacious studio with outdoors area and parking.
Responsive and welcoming host.
