Les Cèdres is unique in that we have tried to create a 'home' which reflects both Lebanese and Yorkshire hospitality in a country and village we love. Our 3 rooms are very spacious, with tea/coffee making facilities. The beds are comfortable with quality bedding and the decor is unique in each room and homely throughout. We serve a generous continental breakfast when you book a room with our breakfast option and this is served in our comfortable restaurant/bar area or outside on the terrace in summertime. We have a well-stocked bar with tapas/apero options all year round and we run a Lebanese restaurant in August - serving traditional Lebanese dishes/mezze made from recipes handed down from Sam's family.
We really want you to feel at home during your stay at Les Cèdres and enjoy the comfort of the house and the beauty of its surroundings as much as we do. Sam is Lebanese and I'm from Yorkshire and we both share a passion for being hospitable which is evident in our personalities and our food. We have a broad knowledge of the local area as we are avid walkers and enjoy integrating into French, country life. We are both experienced home cooks and enjoy serving some of the best local wines and popular cocktails at our bar, so we have good taste when it comes to ideas for eating out and sampling local wines. If you let us know the types of things you're interested in seeing and doing during your stay, then I'm sure, together, we can come up with the perfect holiday itinerary.
Les Cèdres is situated in the heart of St Marcel du Périgord - a peaceful village nestled in picturesque scenery. Most of our guests enjoy experiencing the Dordogne countryside with the knowledge that they are only 20 minutes away from the main city of Bergerac and close enough to spend a day in Bordeaux. With country walks from the doorstep, medieval villages, castles and local vineyards to explore, Les Cèdres is the ideal spot to explore a beautiful part of France or simply unwind in rural, peaceful surroundings.
