Between Mesham and Swadlincote in Leicestershire lies the picturesque village of Moira, a former mining community. The mining heritage of the area has led to the development of a few tourist attractions in the town, such as the Moira Furnace Museum and Country Park and the nearby Donisthorpe Woodland Park.
