Coventry is improving its character month by m9nth catering mire for student accommodation in the city and its recently undergone a regeneration programme to improve the whole city feel and I'm impressed with the change since I used to have to travel buy bus many years ago as a teenager attending a sports college at Centre AT7. Overall it's a much nicer city to visit than the run down city it seemed 25 years ago. The newly pedestrianised areas are much better for tourists to get around the attractions like the cathedral and many other surrounding parks like the war memorial park for instance.well kept grounds and nice flower beds makes your walk through,, very inviting.
Great little town with everything within 20 minutes walk. Lots of good pubs, check out the Town Crier for pub food. Good street food, try the 1meter German sausage! Really do like this town! Has all the popular shops, including an IKEA in the city. Chack out the Transport Museum and yes that's in town too.
The new and old Cathedrals are spectacular and give a renewed view of reconciliation. Up From the Ruins Cafe on the Cathedral grounds supports charities. The City Center is lively and features a statue of Lady Godiva.

The front desk and restaurant staff were outstanding. I especially the extra help with getting settled into the room and when I left my BritRail pass in a taxi. The lady at the front desk called the taxi company and asked if my driver had found the RR pass. He had and happily returned to the hotel to return the pass to me. The staff took a personal interest in me and went out of their way to cheerfully assist me.

Check in staff were friendly. Even when the room key failed. They just programned me another. I liked the quiet countryside feel even being in coventry. The Maid was very pleasant in the morning too. Some very nice people struggling to keep a very poor hotel running!

Absolutely nothing. In 12yrs traveling the country this is by far one of the worst hotels I’ve had the misfortune to come across. Avoid at all costs, it was vile.
