The Cabin is located only 3 miles from Insch (the smallest town in Scotland - which also has a train station). The property is extremely private and the location is quiet and peaceful. Insch is a village twelve miles northwest of Inverurie in Aberdeenshire, home to the Pictish Picardy Stone. The Picardy Stone is one of the oldest Pictish symbol stones, which may date from the 7th century. The Bennachie Mountain Range is also on your doorstep: its name is thought to mean “Hill of the Fairies” in the old tongue. This ancient granite peak, topped with a Pictish hill fort, nestles in the very heart of Aberdeenshire. Its distinctive shape, melded in the heat of an ancient volcano and sculpted by sheets of glacial ice, is identifiable for miles around.
