The staff was incredible. All the staff that I dealt with were fairly young, but they tried hard to meet my needs and make my stay very comfortable. I thought the bed was incredibly comfortable - I slept very well while I was there. I was in the Kanga room which was right above the bar. A little on the noisy side, but not so much that I couldn't fall asleep and sleep well. My breakfast the first morning was incredibly large. I asked for a smaller breakfast the second morning and the chef was very accommodating. All very nice!

Nice friendly local pub with excellent rooms available. Evening meals available were excellent, Great location for Hever Castle Pooh bridge just 2 miles up the road, was a bonus. Tunbridge wells about half hour away.

This charming 15th C inn has four B&B rooms named after Winnie the Pooh characters. We stayed in very comfortable 'Piglet', (en suite) and excellent conversion. Continental breakfast during the week …a welcome change from the (always tempting) 'full English'. For dinner we had Leek and Chicken pie which was delicious with perfectly cooked vegetables, and a superb Salmon Nicoise … (without anchovies which was perfect!). In my opinion dinner deserved napkins worthy of the good food rather than thin paper! Has our full recommendation!

Fabulous little pub, amazing food and very nice room - amazingly comfortable bed and nice sheets, well appointed and would definitely stay again - great in room temperature controls. Incredible breakfast too ... and only £10 a head!

We ate at the anchor inn on our last stay to Ashdown Forest and decided to stay this time. We were in the Piglet room which was a twin room. It was spacious and had a nice bathroom and facilities. We had dinner there which was great. It was quiet at night as well which was good since we were over the pub. Location was fantastic and staff were helpful.

Lovely rambling old pub, characterful and unspoilt, with comfortable accommodation (rooms named after Winnie-the-Pooh characters). Great ‘field to fork’ dining. Friendly staff.

We were greeted by the friendliest staff. The room (Piglet) was clean and comfortable. The bed was one of the most comfy we had slept on in 7 weeks and 22 hotels of road tripping. Dinner in the restaurant in the evening was outstanding and breakfast and friendly staff in the morning made for a great start to the day. Totally recommend.

Very friendly service and excellent food. Good choice of beers on tap. Location in Winnie the Pooh land was great. For a room above a pub it was quiet, you could hear conversation through the floor but that stopped at a reasonable time. Wife says the scrambled eggs were the best she has ever had.
