Really nice self contained and detached house, felt very welcome and safe in the property. It is not fancy if that is what you are looking for but if you want a sound base that is cosy, private and well equipped this is great. Lovely patio off kitchen all private and not overlooked, staff very welcoming and easy to contact Fresh milk and biscuits waiting on arrival was a nice surprise.

Located within walking distance of Bury St Edmunds, Beech Tree Cottage makes an ideal base to explore this historic town and the surrounding villages of Suffolk. This detached, single-storey holiday home has a courtyard and off road parking. Bury St Edmunds, with its cathedral and abbey ruins, and outstanding examples of Georgian architecture, particularly the Theatre Royal, built in 1819, is a rare example of a Georgian playhouse. The town also hosts a Christmas market in early December. There is a launderette, and an excellent range of shops, restaurants and pubs including the Nutshell, England’s smallest pub nearby. Visit National Trust properties nearby with Ickworth Park and Anglesey Abbey and Gardens. Also explore Newmarket for a day at the races, Cambridge and Ely with its 12th century cathedral. Golf is available locally. Shop and pub/restaurant 500 yards.
