Nestled in the beautiful and popular village of Youlgrave in the heart of the Peak District, our beautiful 17th century stone cottage has been fully refurbished throughout. With 3 spacious double bedrooms, stunning double-height vaulted sitting room with open fire, dining room, fully-fitted kitchen with range cooker, and private courtyard with outside seating & BBQ, this is perfect for those wishing to explore the Peak District from a cosy historic home.
We adore the walking in the fabulous countryside of the Peak District and along the local Bradford River. I love to paint the gorgeous local scenary.
Youlgrave is a beautiful village, nestled in the heart of the Peak District and on the doorstep of famous Chatsworth House. This picture-book place could hardly be more English, with traditional limestone houses, three pubs– including the fabulous Bull's Head Hotel– brand new artisan bakery and café, and two amazing delis. Ten minutes by car from the bustling market town of Bakewell– the home of the tarts– and only a short taxi ride from Matlock Station. Gorgeous walking/cycling from the door, and wild swimming in the River Bradford only a five minute walk away. Only a short taxi ride from Matlock station, this village has everything you need for your holiday with twi delis selling local produce and providing delicious breakfasts and dinners, a gourmet artisan café/ bakery and three pubs serving food including the Bull's Head, with great beer and fabulous traditional pub food.
