The area is so interesting. There are traces of its industrial past all around and it is a short drive to the Killhope lead mine or to Allenheads with its cafe, museums etc. Beckelshele is off the A689, at Lanehead, surrounded by open country with curlew, snipe etc. The owners live next door and couldn't be more helpful and friendly. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we have booked again in June - for a fortnight this time.

With reverse-level accommodation, this property comprises two ground floor bedrooms, a double with en-suite shower room and a twin, sleeping four people altogether. There is also a ground floor bathroom, kitchen/diner with open fire and first floor sitting room with electric fire. Outside is off-road parking for 2 cars and an enclosed, courtyard garden at front and rear with patio areas and seating. Beckelshele promises a revitalising break surrounded by walking country. Note: Property cannot accept arrivals within 2 weeks of booking
