The location was beautiful, right on the harbour with lots of nice walks to do, even if just round the town. A trip to Keswick was the highlight for me. The house was clean and easy to access with free on street parking just a short walk away. Great location for neighbouring towns. We visited the wildlife park which was a short drive away and the aquarium in walking distance.

Blue Anchor House is a unique three-bedroom, pet friendly property, that sleeps 5, based in a quiet location in Maryport, just outside the Lake District National Park. Perfect for families, groups of friends or contractors. Refurbished in September 2021, this property offers a unique stylish space. A very short walk from the front door allows a beautiful uninterrupted view of the beach and marina. Guests can really enjoy this relaxing property after exploring the nearby Lake District or Maryport beach and Marina which is just on the doorstep. Please note guests do have to use a parking disk that we provide when parking at the property between 8.30am-6pm Monday - Saturday but there are roads a short walk away where you don't require this. We provide detailed information on the check in instructions for this.

Maryport is a bustling market town with numerous visitor attractions including the Maritime Museum, the Senhouse Roman museum and the Wave Arts and Sports Centre, which includes Clip and Climb as well as a host of cafes and restaurants. A 10-minute drive from Maryport leads you to the Solway Coast AONB (An area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) with incredible landscapes, heritage and a wide range of migrating birds that over winter in the area.
