Hosts were very likable and outgoing. Views over the local countryside were splendid. Full English breakfast was everything we expected and delicious! Special driving directions were essential because we arrived in the dark.

Originally dating back to the mid-1600s, Brambles Bed & Breakfast is a Grade II listed cottage in hidden and unspoiled Whitnage, a quiet rural hamlet less than 10 minutes' drive from Tiverton. Each room at Brambles has free Wi-Fi, views of the garden, private bathroom facilities with either bath or shower. All rooms have a flat-screen TV with Freeview and digital radio are also featured. An assorted refreshment tray includes tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fruit tea, biscuits and bottled water. Whitnage offers panoramic views of the Culm Valley and the picturesque Blackdown Hills. The property is 2 miles from the M5 (Junction 27) and A361 for North Devon.

Although a quiet rural hamlet, Whitnage is only 1/2 a mile from the main road and just two miles from the M5 and Tiverton Parkway railway station. The town centre is less than ten minutes and we have a choice of 4 or 5 places to eat locally, a local shop and a regular bus service within a mile. Junction 27 offers easy access to Cullompton, Exeter, Taunton and Wellington and the A361 for Barnstaple, Exmoor and North Devon. The local pub (The Redwoods Inn) is just over half a mile and guests regularly walk to and from (weather permitting). We have had reports of SAT NAV systems suggesting strange routes (!) so we advise following the directions we provide for the last mile or so of your journey. We routinely offer a choice of rates 'with and without breakfast' however on a few occasions breakfast is not available (for example during family holidays). If only one rate is displayed, it will be 'room only' (without breakfast). When two rates are displayed, one is the 'room only' option and the other (with the 'breakfast included' icon) is the 'bed and breakfast' rate. It is always best to contact us direct if you are unsure, have any questions or specific requirements for your stay.
