my dad took his grandsons there in the summer and they really enjoyed their stay. They loved the swimming pool and they said the owners went out of their way to help them enjoy their stay.
Situated in Great Yarmouth, The Embassy Hotel offers beachfront accommodation 300 metres from Great Yarmouth Pier Beach and features various facilities, such as a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar.
It's a large village with a beach. It's not especially scenic. There's no promenade. The beach is quite nice, and in summer it would be good for sunbathing, though you might have to walk back into the village for some of the facilities. The carvery is probably the best place to eat. You should probably think about whether it really is Caister you want to stay, and not say Sheringham, Cromer or even Great Yarmouth.

Caister is a wonderful place to stay, the beach is a short walk away and in the summer I can imagine is a brilliant place to spend the day. Beautiful clean beach with soft sand. Lots of takeaways and convenience stores and so close to Horsey etc if you want to see the baby seals.

We stayed in a wonderful accommodation but the pubs were not what we expected! Not traditional seaside pubs.

We were visting relations, never been to Caister before and in April the weather was not brilliant so we did not see a lot of Caister but it was easy to get round and pop down to the beech and vew the sea.
The Old Hall Hotel is excellent along with their staff, well worth the visit.

The Town is a bit run down.
The Town is a bit run down. A lot of places closed down, may be due to COVID or cost of living. Most of the pubs close to our accomodation is closed. Nothing much for kids to do, apart from the beach. Caister-on-Sea is a bit depressing.
