Lovely, classic house that was under renovation but shows a lot of promise. Room we stayed in was comfy, exceptionally clean, good wifi and tea/coffee facilities. Plenty of plugs and 2 mirrors which was well thought of! We wanted a quiet and local stay, which is exactly what we got as we attended as a wedding in the town. Plenty of parking, canal view and big garden. Service great, early check in and lots of prompt contact on booking.com chat. Nice drives to national forests and other villages and towns if you’re interested.

The accommodation listed is a ground floor guest suite with it’s has his own private access via patio doors at the back of the property. What we offer: - A private guestroom that you can self check in and out of, at your own convenience. - Private patio door entrance to a king sized bedroom. - Just outside the bedroom there is a separate private shower room, with a shower, toilet and sink (no bath) . - There is a kettle for tea and coffee making facilities and supplies. - There is NO kitchenette area or microwave and fridge to make and store your own food. - Bed linen and towels are all white cotton and hotel quality. - Complementary toiletries - Hair dryer and Iron
The cottage is just a couple of minutes drive from the heart of Barton under Needwood. Centred around the character high street are coffee shops, traditional pubs, gift shops, a post office, newsagents, local store, library and a stunning Tudor church. The Trent and Mersey Canal runs alongside the garden and drive and A38 runs parallel to the canal. The canalside walk can be accessed from the road, by walking over the bridge and down the steep slope on the righthand side. Getting around The village is ideally placed for travel on the A38 and A50, rail stations in Lichfield provide direct links to Birmingham and London and the International airports of Birmingham and East Midlands are both within an easy drive.
