The hotel was recently and tastefully updated. In addition, our room and bathroom was very spacious and our bed was clean, crisp and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and polite and seemed to genuinely care that we were happy and had a great experience. The food and service in the restaurant was also excellent. The Heathmount is a short walk from the main shopping street with lots of stores for all tastes and needs. I have no hesitation in recommending The Heathmount and would definitely stay again if returning to Inverness.

What a wonderful find! The art deco architecture and grounds are magnificent. But it’s the beautifully renovated interior that stands out. Public areas and my bedroom were stylish, shining and chic

So many beautiful towns in Scotland. We chose to spend two nights in Inverness. In retrospect, one night would have been enough. We had a delicious dinner at McBains. Enjoyed our visit at the Dunrobin Castle.

Beautiful Highlands town.
Beautiful Highlands town. It is quite compact and easily navigated by foot. It is apparently the fastest-growing town in Europe and was voted as the friendliest town in Scotland. Food was sensational.

I loved the city.
I loved the city. It had a great deal of history and I appreciated the new incite I had of the Highlander's experience. Highly recommend the Historical walking tour of the city. ( that can be booked through the Info. center. Also very much enjoyed the day trip Rabie's tours offered that took me to Cairns, Culloden and Glen Affric.
Highly recommend the sea food --in the Victorian mall and at a small restaurant named the Riverfront. (reservations are essential) 1 Creig St.

We stayed downtown and everything was in walking distance.
We stayed downtown and everything was in walking distance. Good shopping and great restaurants to explore. The local castle is under revocations and due to reopen in 2025. We did a bus/boat trop to the castle...and searched for "Nessy." It was a great 3 hour tour. Downtown is full of character and Inverness is a great stop to reach Speyside distilleries.

Day trip to Skye is not worth the money or time. 12 hours on a bus with only very few offbus photo opportunities. Lunch in Portree was a big disappointment. Few choices and none appetizing.
Rabbies' whisky tour was very good
Loch Ness tour not great but a must
The view across the River Ness & hills beyond was excellent from my room on 5th floor.
Nice breakfast with plenty of choice.
Hotel was handy for public transport, about 3 mins walk from railway station.
[Inverness also known as the 'Highland Capital' has rail services heading north, south, east & west - I recommend the 'Spirit of Scotland' Rail-Rover Ticket which gives 4 or 8 days of virtually unlimited travel anywhere in the country at a reasonable price.]
The hotel adjoins Inverness railway station and so was ideal for us as we were taking a rail tour of Scotland. The magnificent interior reflects its Victorian origins. We found the staff helpful and friendly, with a good selection of food at breakfast and an excellent dinner on the one night we ate in the hotel. Our room was exceptionally large and comfortable.
We loved our stay at Doric House. Great location, room and host Jamie. The breakfast was delicious and plenty on offer. Jamie was so knowledgeable and a powerhouse of information about Inverness and Scotland as a whole. We added sights to see to our stay and are grateful. Thanks Jamie for making our stay so memorable.
I’ve used this company before on this holiday around Scotland. My 3 night stay in Inverness was brilliant. Fantastic room facilities, Staff were very helpful and I think that the price also was excellent
