Welcome to the Cherwood Guesthouse, a lovely 3 storey, 8 bedroomed townhouse in the heart of Paignton. We provide single, twin, double, superior, triple & family room options with free Wi-Fi, complimentary hospitality tray & toiletries & TV/DVD player. We pride ourselves on excellent service standards, with comfortable & stylish accommodation and delicious, freshly cooked breakfasts. We are located in an ideal spot - the beach & seafront, attractions, and eateries are only a 2-3 minute walk away. Your hosts Jo and Martin enjoy making our guests’ stay, one to remember. We welcome solo travellers, couples and families with children of any age (a cot can be provided when notified at the time of booking). We have a book & DVD library for you to enjoy. Room Only and Bed and Breakfast options are available. Our breakfast service takes place in our dining room every morning over 2 sittings of 7.45am and 8.45am with a full range of hot dishes, cooked to order as well as lighter/vegetarian options. Cereal, fruits and yoghurts are available along with tea, coffee and juices. Our lovely en-suite guest bedrooms are spread across 2 floors.
Welcome, we are husband and wife team Martin and Jo, who own, run and live at Cherwood Guest House in Paignton, Devon on the south cost, often referred to as the ‘English Riviera’ due to its temperate climate. Having enjoyed successful careers in the travel and tourism and hospitality industries, with years of experience working on cruise ships, we decided we would like to provide a smaller, more personal service of our own. We believe we understand what our guests are looking for, be it family-friendly, a romantic break or a base for a corporate stay. We pride ourselves on providing top quality, friendly accommodation. All of our 8 en-suite rooms are clean, stylish & comfortably furnished. Located just a few minutes’ walk away from Paignton Beach/Pier we are the perfect base from which to explore. A trip to this beautiful part of the country has its advantages for those that enjoy fresh air, the outdoor life and of course the beach at the end of the road! Situated on Garfield Road, Paignton Green is nearby (0.2 miles) and where a number of family-friendly events and popular festivals take place including English Riviera Air Show, Torbay Carnival, Children’s Week and Paignton Regatta. Paignton is such a fun-filled destination for all ages and is one of the UK’s top seaside resorts. There’s an iconic Victorian pleasure pier, a Geoplay Park for toddlers and young children, Vue multiplex cinema and lively family-run cafes and national chain restaurants. For guests arriving by car, we have been able to secure a dedicated car park space for use by our guests in the Victoria Car Park which is located minutes from our doorstep. (Garfield Rd, TQ4 6PE). The bay will be for you to reserve during your stay (if your requested dates are available) & is offered on a 1st come, 1st served basis, payable in cash upon arrival at the Cherwood. We do not accept liability for any loss, damage, or theft to vehicles whilst public parking. Should the bay already be reserved, don't worry, you are also able to purchase daily tickets for the same car park, or you can apply in advance for a 4 or 8 day pass. Please ask for details.
