The cottage was beautiful. It was so clean and had all the facilities we needed. The fire really made it feel cosy. The host even provided fire logs and kindling! We couldn't have asked for a better location. The cottage is high up, so you can see for miles and miles. There were many surrounding walks, cafes, shops, and restaurants that kept us very busy! The centre of the Peak District is about an hours drive, but there are so many walks close by. There are waterfalls and high mountains all around for you to explore. The town of Holmfirth is just lovely, there are plenty of restaurants outside of the town too, which you can reach via taxi easily, and the taxis aren't expensive either which was such a relief! The host was so kind and made us feel so welcome. We will 100% return <3

Lane End Cottage located at the brow of Snowgate Head with breathtaking views of the Holme Valley and at the gateway to the peak district a perfect base for exploring. A light modern space to relax and unwind with smart tv in living room, working area and cosy log burning stove. Gated secure and property with Large private garden and patio area. Ample parking outside, secure cycle & motorcycle storage available on request. The cottage is located 3 miles from the picturesque market town of Holmfirth famed for "The Last Of The Summer Wine" and now has so much more to offer with it's villages and walks in the surrounding areas. Great places to eat and drink and the Picturedrome music venue. Prior to your booking I will email across a welcome guide giving you more information on the property, detailed location and some great places that we would recommend you visit during your stay with a range of walks and activities for you to consider. PLEASE NOTE A SINGLE FUTON STYLE BED IS AVAILABLE ON REQUEST FOR A 5TH GUEST THERE IS A SMALL FEE FOR THIS PLEASE GET IN TOUCH FIRST AS IT IS UNAVAILABLE WHEN WE ARE AWAY DUE TO THE WORK INVOLVED IN SETTING UP
Friendly helpful and considerate mother of 2 I live next door to the cottage so will be available if required however we have a keysafe for access and like to leave our guests to enjoy their stay without interference.
Located in the small hamlet of Snowgate head perfect for walking and cycling but only a 5 minute drive away from the village of New Mill with great local amenities including several great takeaways, co-operative food store, pharmacies and butchers. 24 hour Petrol station 5 minutes away in Shepley. The popular village of Holmfirth is a 10 minute drive away.
